@Grumblevolcano I’ll say it now, I was wrong about not expecting anything before the Switch 2 Direct outside of maybe a indie one, yet you were right about there being more to the Switch this year than I expected. Especially as this is a General Direct which means first party published games. So I’ll apologise for arguing against you on this.

Where did the Robobot remake/port rumour come from? I've seen it mentioned a few times on here recently, but I don't remember anyone being credited with 'leaking' it or at least starting the rumour.
First time I remember seeing something about Robobot was it someone mentioned as a game they'd like to see ported or remade, then that gradually became 'the rumoured Robobot port'. Did any of the usual suspects claim this was coming?
I personally still skeptical with Nintendo Direct tomorrow as I keep finding the 3rd party multi console games oftenly got the worst version compared with other console version so any 3rd party games announced from the Direct will be my reference to find the PS5 version from the same games as possible.
I don't want to buy half baked products from Switch version again when the games got treated with downgraded and poor fps (unstable 30 fps) or even worse (partial download, code in box, streaming only) while the other console version like PS5 get the better version (faster loading time, better graphics, better fps to smooth stable 60 fps).
I will be very picky in getting Switch games as I also build my PS4 & PS5 games too with 99% of 3rd party kids games.
As nice as this is it would have been more exciting a month ago
Yeah, The timing is weird. Almost like they are sending the games out to die as they'll mostly be forgotten about in a weeks time when the Switch 2 Direct drops.
Very interesting it's a general Direct. That means they aren't stopping support for Switch even with Switch 2 on the horizon. At the same time, I would be very surprised if there's a brand new game announced here that isn't port/remaster/remake/small-scale. Still, exciting times ahead with the Switch Direct tomorrow and Switch 2 Direct next week.
Kirby Planet Robobot Deluxe
Fire Emblem Echoes: Geneology Of The Holy War
Mario Super Sluggers On Switch
Metroid Prime 4 release date
Metroid Prime 2 Remake
Plants Vs Zombies Remake
DK64, Diddy Kong Racing, Conker, more Rare games on NSO
Ace Attorney 7
Dragon Quest 1+2 HD-2D Remake
Professor Layton, Decapolice, Yokai Watch
Sonic Racing CrossWorlds
Yoshi's Woolly World
My dream announcement is a new Rhythm Heaven but I dont really think we will see it
This is simulataneously the most Nintendo and un-Nintendo thing to do and I love it. Never would I have dreamed there would be 2 big-boy directs in the space of 7 days!
I think we'll definitely see Planet Robobot and Metroid Prime 4.
If we don't see the latter then it's a sure-fire bet for next week's presentation.
Can't think of much on the 3rd party front apart from Layton and Dragon Quest.
It would be nice to see one original title from Nintendo, maybe something like Rhythm Heaven or a Mario Sports title.
I do think the Switch still deserves a few original games this year.
The timing makes me think Prime 4 isn't the Direct closer but rather playing the role Pikmin 4 did in the June 2023 Direct.
My predictions are:
Opens with Mario Sluggers (Nintendo has that recent baseball thing going on for this year's season)
Around the middle of the Direct, there's a long Prime 4 segment which reveals more about the game and ends with release date (late June perhaps?) and Prime 2+3 shadow drop (physical in late April)
1st party spotlights being a Kirby remake, a Fire Emblem remake, Switch Sports update, Splatoon 3 update (3rd kits), F-Zero 99 update
NSO presence being either the playtest game or shadow dropped Rare N64 games
Ends with a highly requested remaster (WWHD/TPHD if that's the 2025 Zelda game, something like F-Zero GX if BotW Remastered is the 2025 Zelda game)
On the 3rd party side of things, DQ1+2 remake and the Capcom remasters seems a safe guess but not sure what else. I don't think Silksong will be present.
@Bigmanfan Oh right ok. I thought he started announcing or teasing the games like he used to do. So he still doesn’t have that line of inside communication available.

Could we see Yakuza 0 get announced? RGG did say that Kiwami exceeded expectations and it would still run on Switch. Just not sure if it would be too soon or not
