My Bingo Card

Basically picked 16 entirely unconfirmed things that I thought were in theory possible and/or somewhat likely and then just randomly sorted them. Some I think are fairly unlikely, some are certainly not going to happen together. And the odds of me getting all of them are definitely 0. But hey, where's the fun in doing a Direct Bingo without some wild guesses?

Wind Waker HD, Twilight Princess HD, and Metroid Prime 2-3, all seem very likely candidates, and I would give my left ear to get a new Wario Land entry!

I decided I'd create a joke bingo card based on that the past 8 months have been almost nothing but Mario.

You know, 3D AllStars 2.... when I made my list I was thinking about how to cram in Galaxy 2 and considered throwing in an "All Stars 2". But then I thought about it and realised that Galaxy 2 and 3D Land are the only 3D Mario games not on Switch already. And that would be an odd collection

They could however do something like a 2D Mario HD collection or something though. HD remasters of Super Mario World, Yoshi's Island and SMB 3 or something. Now something like that? That'd be interesting I think

@skywake I'm still hoping for a re-release of 3D all-stars with Galaxy 2 as DLC. During whichever part of the Mario 40th anniversary is farthest from the new 3D Mario game.

@FishyS I like Galaxy 2 on the Wii but I’d love the tap controls for Switch. I think a re-release with DLC would be a great way to fill in part of this year’s H2 schedule. I wouldn’t mind having SM64DS or 3D Land, either (those would be harder with the 2 screens though).

@PikminMarioKirby I suspect early next week. I don’t know Pyoro’s history well… do they have patterns when dropping hints? Could be something cryptic Sunday/Monday before the announcement drops 🤷🏿 unless it’s the last week of the month, but I’m wagering we’ll get it next week.

Prediction: pyoro's next tweet is going to be a picture of a bin, as a reference to among us, and thus confirming the 18th as the direct date. You heard it hear first (and last).

@Novamii LM1HD! Perhaps booting up the game 3 more times grants you more Direct wishes?

@PikminMarioKirby I think SM64DS and 3D Land would have to be remade from scratch, because of the two screens. 3D Land was also made with the 3DS's screen in mind, so it'd lose the 3D effect unless the next Nintendo console happens to have 3D, or something like that. Actually, I'd love a full remake of Super Mario 64 with the DS version's extra levels/stars and characters! A full remake of Super Mario Sunshine would be great too. Especially if they'd change up some... questionable parts of that game.

@MarioVillager92 SM64DS and 3D Land would be harder to port, perhaps a remaster similar to Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD would work?

Would it be crazy for Nintendo to re-release the 3D AllStars and pack in Galaxy 2, while having a DLC option of adding it to those of us who already own the collection? I'm not seeing how Nintendo could release a Volume 2...but who knows.It's that, or they are saving the Gamecube announcement with it as a launch title...
I would love to see the expansion pass adding Gamecube, with the DS addition coming with Switch 2 (with the magnetic JoyCons).
We've gotta be less than a week away from an announcement, right??

It was Friday morning last time.... although timezones are confusing so morning for some people.

Of course if we hear nothing Friday we have no way to know whether Pyoro is simply later this time, is not leaking at all this time, or if the direct is the last week of June. 😛

There was so much recent drama with that other leaker who was temporarily respected that my already tenuous confidence in leaks is lower than it was a week ago.

RE: the 3D All Stars thing again. Or whatever Mario game I guess. I think with Wonder last year and almost surely a new 3D Mario to push Switch 2 we're probably getting nothing on that front. Of course Nintendo be Nintendo, nobody expected the Super Mario RPG remake, so anything is possible. But I wouldn't hold my breath

Kid Icarus is definitely a long shot, I'm not expecting it either. But of the endless array of potential "random IP gets revived" it seems like it should be high on that list

@FishyS We’ll have to see tomorrow if Pyoro says anything. Could just be a later time, I really don’t think there will be a Direct the same week as LM2HD.

I would love to see a 2D Kid Icarus, Metroidvania style. I owned the original and I don't think I was ever able to beat the 1st level ...haven't touched it on the Switch...would love to see it remade in a Dread style.
