Hi guys. Between Air Riders and Sonic Racing Crossworlds, which do you guys recommend getting? I was leaning toward Kirby AR, but saw the video review on IGN, and it said that you automatically speed up, and also has a bit of a learning curve? I never played the original on Gamecube. Also, debating if I should get Red Dead 1 as it has a S2 upgrade coming soon. Thoughts and help appreciated
TBH I wasn't really a fan of the Crossworlds demo, but I understand many people do enjoy it a lot. I am personally much more fond of both Mario Kart World and Kirby Air Riders.
That said, I think your decision on which game to get should ultimately be based upon whether or not you want a traditional kart racer (Sonic) or a uniquely chaotic multiplayer experience (Kirby).
Air Riders is my recommendation, but I would advise you to consider what you're precisely looking for in a racing game right now before letting the opinions of others sway your decision.
Hope this helps! : )
"well it appears I am upside down. what ever will I do?"
Sonic Crossworlds didn't look interesting to me to be honest so I haven't played it and Kirby Air Riders is probably my favourite game of the year so I'm pretty bias towards that.
Real answer though is that they're actually both extremely different games so it depends what you're looking for. Air Riders isn't your conventional racing game and its unique controls take some getting used to and won't be for everyone.
Did you play the demos? If not, the Sonic one is still available, but you've now missed the boat with Kirby.
Personally... I'm sticking with MKW for now. They're all offering different takes on the genre, but not really different enough for me to want more than one of them.
Sonic Crossworlds has the most potential. Kirby might be for the hardcore crowd, but Sonic has the widest appeal especially with all the 3rd party characters and constant online support.
Only go for Sonic if you play online or couch multiplayer a lot. Air Riders has WAY more offline single player content. Sonic Crossworlds doesn't even have a story/campaign mode like all the other other Sonic racing games since Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing.

Hey. Now, I am leaning towards Air Riders as you said that it has tons of single player content. To be honest, I don't play many multiplayer games. Do you have Kirby AR? If yes, how is it? Is it worth the $70 price? Further thoughts and help appreciated
I've only played the demos of both. Crossworlds was fine but felt a bit generic to me. Air Riders felt like potentially more creative and fun, although city trial isn't for everyone (including me).
Air Riders is closer to being different from the other kart races but it might be a bit more devisive since the controls and mechanics can be so different.
