Topic: Does anyone know how much in advance will My Nintendo Store (Europe) ship preorders?

I preordered the Switch 2 from Nintendo's European online store, but I'm from one of those countries where they don't guarantee the product will be delivered on the day of its release. So I was wondering if anyone knows how many days before the official release date will they ship preordered items? I've never preordered anything from My Nintendo Store, so I have no idea whether it's 1 day or 1 week before the release date, and it'd be nice to have an estimate of when the package will arrive.

A person I know said that (at least in Germany) pre orders on MyNintendo get shipped early to our nearest post distribution center and on release day they deliver it to us.
How credible that is,... I'm sceptical. Sounds plausible though.

Check your email for NSO and they should give you update on when they will start the charge. But one should keep the funds available from May 25 to June 5 rather then wait until they cancel because of lack of funds.

Has anyone in the UK (or Europe), who ordered through the official Nintendo store, actually been charged and had their pre-order processed yet?

I received an email nearly two weeks ago that said they will start processing it soon. In fact, they said "to avoid any delays with your order, please ensure your payment method has sufficient funds as we will be attempting to take payment very shortly."

But they haven't processed it since.

According to Google's AI, Nintendo will process payment between 14 and 7 days from release date:

Nintendo UK processes payments for Switch 2 preorders, according to their My Nintendo Store, typically 7-14 days before the product's release date for physical preorders, and 7 days before for digital preorders. A prior notice will be sent before the payment is charged, and you can check your payment and download date in your Nintendo Account settings.

@AlexM Yeah, I believe that's the normal process, but Nintendo said on their FAQ set up for Switch 2 pre-orders that they will start processing orders up to 30 days in advance of the release date in order to ensure a smooth process. Hopefully they start processing them soon anyways. It seems like everyone is in the same situation.

@Reprise I have been charged today! The order status changed as well, to "waiting for shipment". I only ordered accessories though, not the Switch 2 console

@neo9eo Thanks for letting me know. I just checked and haven't been charged yet, but I did order the console as well as accessories all under one order. Not sure if they are processing them in batches or doing accessory orders first.

They should or maybe would send out email or check your online orders to see about your order or contact the retailer where you made your order.

Is anybody else still waiting for their my nintendo store uk order to be processed?

I ordered the console (and a game cube controller in the same order) on 8th April and still nothing yet. A little frustrating seeing so many people who've ordered later already safe in the knowledge their order is all set to go.

I've also got separate orders for a pro controller and another for amiibos not been charged either.

If it doesn't get processed this week, you should contact their customer support.
It's weird. My order (console and Pro Controller) got processed right at midnight like 0:01h(GMT+2), the night from Saturday to Sunday. It seems like they planed in their system that my order gets processed on that exact date. Or something like that.

@Budda Thanks for the reply. I'm not exactly panicking yet as we're still 10 days out, it's just frustrating as I said. I'll give it until midweek then try contacting support maybe.

@msm2000 Yup, still waiting here (and yup, I am panicking too). Over on Reddit loads of people who ordered from Nintendo Store UK have had theirs processed and charged, but a handful are still waiting. Hopefully they are doing them in batches, but it is a bit weird...

I have also seen people say that they received emails informing them that they couldn't process their payment, so they have cancelled their orders.... No "please rectify your payment details or contact your bank to authorise the payment and we will reattempt payment in one working day" or whatever. Just "sorry, we cancelled it". What a joke if that's how they deal with payment issues. I really hope mine is processed ok, but the longer they leave it, the more nervous I am getting!
