Topic: Does anyone know how much in advance will My Nintendo Store (Europe) ship preorders?

I've had nothing either, which isn't shocking. I remember the original Switch coming late from MNS.

My preorder (made on April 29th) hasn't yet been processed and charged either.

What delivery companies (particularly in the UK) have people been assigned?

Just found out mine's being delivered by Royal Mail which... isn't fantastic news.

Our town's sorting office will sit on post/packages for sometimes 1-2 weeks before deciding to post it.
So there's a good chance it won't come on the 5th and I'll end up trudging to the office's 8am - 10am opening time (?!) the next day showing them every form of ID I have so they'll hand it over.🫠

In the UK they usually ship it 1-2 days beforehand, but I have always received new releases on the day it is supposed to release.

I ordered from the UK Store April 10, Console with MK, Pro Controller and GCN Controller and still have yet to be charged (seen a lot of others on reddit have been charged but also there are a few who haven't yet)

@Nintoz Take this with a pinch of salt, but according to someone who works within distribution, all retailers (including Amazon) have been told to ship with Royal Mail.

Don't understand people's complaints though to be honest. Rarely have an issue with RM, unlike Evri, DPD, Amazon Logistics and all the other couriers...

Edit: Sorry, I just reread your post and had missed what you said about your delivery office. That's ridiculous! Have you and other people in your community complained?

I ordered on 9 April via a personal invite. I got the mail saying they’ll start collecting funds soon about 10 days ago. But my PayPal-account hasn’t been charged yet. I’m from The Netherlands.

Where can I see which delivery company is shipping my order? Just curious. Not that it matters. Probably DHL for me... All my MyNintendo orders get delivered from them. 😅😂

Preordered a Switch 2 w MKW bundle & Gamecube Controller on April 8th & then did ordered a 2nd Gamecube controller a few hours later.

They took payment for the second order about a week ago.

Got a little worried but saw individual accessory orders were commonly charged first. Then got worried again when I saw folks had got charged for the console. Got nothing for days, checked this morning still nothing then checked about an hour ago & had been charged.

In England & payment method was my card directly (rather than paypal)

Sigh... Just checked my bank account and Nintendo Store account and still nothing. Why aren't they just charging everyone's orders at the same time like most places do? Lol. People who ordered from Amazon or ShopTo aren't all going to be charged days or even as much as a week apart. They will all be processed on the same day.

They tried to charge me, and my credit cards anti fraud kicked in, so there goes that.

@Haruki_NLI you'll be fine just speak to nintendo store customer service in the morning. In my experiance they give you a chance to sort out payment issues like that before just cancelling a preorder.

@Haruki_NLI I think part of the issue is they didn't seem to have any kind of soft authorisation check in place when placing a pre-order. Usually sites will do a 1p pre-approval check at the point you order, but Nintendo's store bizarrely didn't.

Did you get an email from the Nintendo Store or anything? Some people have said they got one saying that they will try again in 4 days time (which is leaving it dangerously close to launch), whilst others seem to suggest theirs got outright cancelled 😕

@Reprise I've got one for 4 days time, but who knows really. They did try twice, so I need to hope im buy my phone to approve if the fraud prevention hits again.

I've literally just been charged for the console order 😃.

@Reprise I believe there have been complaints yeah. I think when it does happen, it's the second class/Tracked 48 items that are affected, taking a little too much liberty with the 2-3 day delivery time lol.
But, as the Switch 2 is a Tracked 24/first class item (which I hadn't noticed until checking it again) then I'd imagine they will adhere to that.

May I ask what your order status says?
Because mine says "Completed". Is this a bad thing or just an error of the page? I'm sure it should say "waiting to deliver" or something along that line. 🫤

@Budda Completed is fine mate. It just means in normal circumstances they are ready to ship it (label created and tracking launched), but it'll be shipped next Wednesday.

@Nintoz Wow tracked 24 instead of special delivery is a risk. I have still had tracked 24 take a couple of days a few times. Generally it's fine normally though, so hopefully most people get them on release date ok.
