Yea, the GameStop I got mine from is all sold out, and they had at least 100 units and are a pretty small store. I’m seeing some social media posts of places (here in the US) that have “lots” of stock, but I don’t know… that seems at odds with everything else.
@rallydefault Since I still don't have one, I've been looking at tracking apps and groups here and every location of every store which had them has been sold out basically all day in a 50 mile radius. There have been very short blips where one pops up, but they get grabbed within minutes or sometimes seconds if it's an online one. I've been to a LOT of stores in the last few days as well as calling and using the various websites and the only ones I've found which hung around long enough to buy are massively scalper-priced ones. I can imagine there are parts of the country where supply is more than demand, but I think in a lot of places they are basically non existent.
I think it's a case of people who happened to get lucky and went to the right place at the right time and grabbed one easily just incorrectly assume they are easy to get.
I went in to my GameStop the next day for an unrelated reason, and there was a line out the door because they still had stock left. That was crazy. I just turned around and left. Wasn't expecting that.
@Xyphon22 I went to GameStop the next day and there was a long line out the door but it turned out it was because people were waiting for Pokemon cards 😆 A few poor people thought they were waiting for a Switch 2, but those were long gone.
