Going for Super Mario 3D World this time. I hope they add that soundtrack soon! If they're gonna add something random instead of something more popular, I think I'll go for F-Zero: Maximum Velocity since it's been a while since they added an F-Zero soundtrack.

Ask if you want to be Switch friends with me, but I'd like to know you first. Thanks! ❤️
They've been on a handheld kick recently working forwards from the Gameboy ( although they passed over the GBA). Logically it would be a Switch game so I'm going to throw Tropical Freeze, Kirby Triple Deluxe and Links Awakening remake onto the guess pile. Yes I'm aware none of these are original switch games.
@Sylamp
Yes, I was conflating two things in my head but was thinking of Return to Dreamland Deluxe.
I guess the big question is whether Triple Deluxe Deluxe would be quadruple deluxe or sextuple deluxe (unlikely XD)

I can understand the arguments both for and against the BotW OST. The arguments for are obviously that the game is a master at atmosphere and that it's got a huge OST, but the arguments against it are that:
Not everyone likes atmospheric tracks
In the actual game, certain songs show up way more than others, making it potentially repetitive. There's a rather significant amount of tracks that are very situational and only heard once or a couple of times over the game's huge runtime.
I personally lean to the more "whatever" side of the argument - I can appreciate the OST for what it is, but there isn't a lot that I'd listen to outside of the game. Same deal with TotK but I like that one a bit more.
@AJWolfTill@Sylamp
They could call it Kirby Hyper Deluxe to retain the acronym pun lol

This is the only remotely understandable argument against it. Because if you just listen to the music on a soundtrack "yep this sure is a bunch of Zelda songs of the high quality I expect".
I think also because Skyward Sword also had overused songs that were typical Zelda stuff but now loud and orchestrated, it just became an annoying headache hearing the sky theme for 50th time despite the sky not even being super interesting in that game, so the chill overworld music was a huge relief to me after that.
There might be a couple of good remixes like in any other Kirby game, but I barely even remember Dream Buffet's music. I'd rather have any game from the main series or the original Kirby Air Ride. Seems lame to prioritize a spin-off like this.
Makes total sense that this comes given the Air Rider online trials which have a mini game related to dream buffet.
But... I also totally never would have guessed it 😅
@SneakyLink The game was fun but unfortunately people stopped playing it after like a week so the online races (which was most of the game) died very quickly.
@Dev-N granted, do you remember dream buffet... in general? that probably doesn't help things lol
anyways, yeah, this game's soundtrack consists of a lot of remixes of songs from past games, unlocked from leveling up. from what i can recall many of them were good.
edit: i suppose i was asking for more kirby music.. just a little bit of a shame this was the next choice. still good though!
Another surprise drop 🤣. I've played this quite a bit, it's actually one of my first eShop purchases I ever made on my Nintendo Account.
Also, happy 1,000 posts, Nintendo Music thread!
My top 5 favorite games:

3: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

a good way to think of this game's soundtrack, as far as i'm hearing right now, is like a diet mario kart world ost. a majority of the remixes are either jazz/brass covers, or fairly similar but having new, better instruments. also throwing in a guitar cause why not.
you'll almost definitely find some stuff to put in your favorites.
(@Nep-Nep-Freak we should archive this thread and hang it on the wall)
edit: ...oh! i forgot there's a large chunk of this ost, close to half, that's just direct rips of older kirby songs! i kind of got what i wanted!
