i guess the hourly playlist update was foreshadowing, huh?

i don't think i've listened to much of new leaf's ost (i never played it) but i know the hourly music is vastly preferred by most people to new horizons', so good to have this in so early after that update :]

This is one of my favorite games, so I am very pleased with this addition! If you haven’t listened to the Fireworks Show yet I highly recommend you give it a listen!

Didn't expect that, necessarily, but I am happy nonetheless! ACNL was my favorite game around 13 years old, so I'll definitely be listening to this!

Also, it appears as if the Welcome amiibo songs are not present here. That means no Desert Island Escape, Puzzle League, Harv’s Campsite, and anything else that might have slipped my mind.

Glad to see New Leaf's soundtrack is here now. Too bad I didn't guess that though... just my luck.

Regarding collabs, Tetris is kind of an anomaly in my eyes. When they released those games I think they did own the IP, also most of the music are adaptations of classical pieces. I'm still not convinced we will ever get the IP collabs like Tokyo Mirage Sessions, the Mario + Rabbids games or even Cadence of Hyrule.

i know im super early to the whole guessing thing, but the new leaf thing did make me wonder if, when they do smaller updates like the pikmin 4 one, if they could sorta tie a nintendo music release into it. so, say, the week that update comes out, we get pikmin 1+2 ost or something.

@squiddu-real that's definitely possible! And given that Splatoon Raiders has been announced, I have even more copium regarding getting the rest of S3's music lol!!

@CaleBoi25 i find it very likely that if raiders gets connected to any nintendo music release, it'll be a special release akin to the air riders stuff. maybe they could sneak the side order + update music in too, i dunno, less sure about that.

unrelated, i saw a video that noted most releases happen around a year after the game came out at minimum. i think there was one that got put on here about 10 months after release, maybe that princess peach game, can't remember. i could see some dumb crap happening where they wait a full year after ordertune came out (december 11th!) before allowing it to show up on the app... which means no gap is too big to finish unfinished soundtracks!

seems most likely we won't know anything about the pikmin 4 update until next week, and i still feel like 3d world would have to be tied to something, so i don't really have a specific prediction.

how about just guessing a console? we've been doing a good handful of handheld stuff recently, so the next one could likely be from a home console... and the snes hasn't gotten any soundtracks in a hot minute, so.. snes!

(give me kirby super star please, hell you could make ultra separate because those songs actually sound different unlike ocarina of time 3d)

I'm predicting Super Metroid because we're getting Prime 4 previews on Friday.

Feels to me like this'll just be a "whatever/random" week, so I'll just go with my usual "glaring omission" picks - Super Metroid and Majora's Mask, and I'll also be adding 3D World to these default guesses from here on out.

Going to go out on a massive limb and say Xenoblade. It would be out of left field for sure, but considering it’s one of the only major series not on the app I feel like it’s time

I've been listening to BOTW. It is absolutely insane how people tried to argue against this game's soundtrack. I get SOME songs maybe aren't as immediately exciting in the overworld, but they still work with the vibes of the game well and the rest of it absolutely lives up to Zelda's high standards. Especially considering some of the disappointing OSTs of the Switch era, it is one of the best modern Nintendo soundtracks, and its not even close.

Majora’s Mask, Mario 3D World, and Super Metroid will be my guesses for the week.

I'll go with my usual Xenoblade Chronicles guess this week.
