another one of the titans of "for the love of god why isn't this on here yet" has fallen...

so what else do you think absolutely should've been covered already but isn't? just for the sake of not saying early kirby games, i'll say pikmin 1 and 2. both the gamecube and the wii are still very lacking on osts after close to a year and a half of this service existing. with them getting a ton of switch games out of their system, though, i wouldn't be surprised if the latter half of year 2 is more focused on older consoles.

plus, the pikmin osts are just so pleasant.

As far as I am concerned, DS Pokemon and to a slightly lesser extent 3DS Pokemon. Those are the only ones I can think of where it feels wrong that we don't even have one of them yet (maybe they're just not sure how to handle all the enhanced versions), though there are plenty of other soundtracks I would also really like to see added to the service.

While I really want it on the service, it feels too soon for Mario Kart World (even though we have already gotten Air Riders) so I wouldn't say it feels like it "absolutely should have been covered" quite yet.

As for your own suggestion, I'm not super familiar with the Pikmin franchise so it would be great if the music from the first 2 games could come to the service so I could try them.

Anyway, about the new drop, it's been a bit since the last Metroid one, so not particularly surprising.

Exciting stuff!! This was one of the "big ones" IMO, so it's neat to see it finally get crossed off the list.

+1 for the streak of games that I care about, up to #6 now. Hard to believe that the previous record was 2 games in a row 🫠

I mentioned by the app's first anniversary that they might change up the release strategy to focus more on highly-requested games; it took a minute to get there, but is that what we're seeing now? Everything since the start of February has been quite solid (disregarding the small sizes of SML2 and Super Metroid), and the two most recent drops in particular feel really on-the-nose.

Link's Awakening, Majora's Mask, Twilight Princess, Kirby's Adventure, Super Star, Return to Dream Land, and Pokémon Gens 2 & 3 feel like the most glaring omissions now.

Special shoutout to Pokémon Gold/Silver, Pokémon Ruby/Sapphire, and Super Smash Bros. Melee for being the only console bestsellers to still be missing >_>

After countless weeks of guessing, it finally came!

3) That's two of the most desired and predicted guesses onto the service!

The unfortunate caveat to this is it seems like shed guy has been replaced with someone who isn't chaos personified. Or maybe they have just been joined by Mrs Shed as one of you suggested.

Well we are plugging the Mario and Zelda games at a regular pace and Pokémon is kind of a semi autonomous entity so I never quite what's likely.

Whilst there are some odd retro omissions like Punch-out and Star Fox the biggest absences for me are the fact that there are no Xenoblade or Smash Bros games on there at all.
I've got to believe Three Houses will come in the lead up to Fortune's Weave

On the anniversary week of the game no less. Sometimes the releases are quite logical.

They choose games related to upcoming/recent new releases or on/near anniversaries often enough that it is clearly on purpose. What I don't know is if they have other categories which make logical sense or if they're just pulling out of a hat the rest of the time.
