I will once again guess that the music of the week will be either Majora’s Mask, Super Metroid, or Donkey Kong Country Returns this week.

I'm also thinking that they're gonna add the new songs from the Animal Crossing: New Horizons update on the day the the Switch 2 Edition and the 3.0 update release, just like how they added the new Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2 songs on the day the Switch ports were released

Time for my guesses this week:

• Animal Crossing: New Horizons: Nintendo Switch 2 Edition and Animal Crossing: New Horizons: Happy Home Paradise — My reasoning here is that, with 3.0.0 releasing, they'll likely want to add all the new songs.
• Splatoon 3 complete soundtrack, including Side Order — I'm just really hoping to get this one!
• Donkey Kong Bananza — Donkey Kong Country Returns HD was a year ago, so maybe they will celebrate that anniversary with a different DK soundtrack.

I am keeping my guesses from last week assuming we are back to the normal release schedule. Kirby and the Amazing Mirror, Pikmin 3 and Pokemon X & Y.

I have some fairly specific predictions for this week, although I think all of them have already been guessed by others:

• Donkey Kong Country Returns, for the HD version's first anniversary. This would release in the usual Monday slot.
• Mario Kart World special release. This could be either at the usual time, or on Thursday, for the 1st anniversary of the game's reveal.
• The rest of the New Horizons tracks, coinciding with the update Wednesday night (and including the content from it).

I also predict that multiple of these options are likely to occur this week.

@Robot99 I feel like MKW is more likely for the game’s first anniversary. Plus, that would give them more time to finish setting up the soundtrack, which is definitely no small feat compared to some other games. The other two seem like solid bets though. I could see ACNH finally getting HHP and 3.0 music

To be clear, I was talking about a partial release, just a few tracks. I don't think we'll get the full OST until at least June either.

@Robot99 so you're predicting a Special Release: Mario Kart World but which tracks do you expect? Like, the Main Theme and the Track themes? Or would that include Route/Free Roam music, too?

Probably just the title theme and a few of the circuit themes, like maybe half a dozen. I wouldn't expect any of the non-looping route/free roam music yet. Getting all 30 main tracks would be awesome and could maybe happen, considering how large the full release will eventually be, but I'm not expecting that lol

Think I'll go for Super Mario 3D World, the rest of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, or the rest of Splatoon 3 this time.

I'm thinking Mario has had a lot recently so unlikely to be that.

Assuming we're back to our regularly scheduled shed-guy antics, I'm gunning for the Switch this week so I'm going for either 3D World+BF, Switch Sports or Link's Awakening.

With a Splatoon 3 update inkoming, I wonder if the OST will be launched alongside it?

It looks like Mario and Luigi: Brothership is the OST for this week! It's an incredible OST if I'm being totally honest. Also, I guessed correctly!

Nintendo Music once again reminding me I have a backlog.

Of course they choose the latest, non-Yoko-Shiomura OST to be the first Mario & Luigi on the app. Sigh. Notify me whenever Superstar Saga joins...

They're REALLY on a roll with adding 2024 games. I thought Zelda Echoes of Wisdom would be next and be this month's Switch 1 game on top of that. Definitely be expecting that and Mario vs. Donkey Kong before too long.
