The five newest games currently available on the app are all Mario games >_>

I was really impressed with some of this game's music. I wish we got more unique battle themes, but overall the sound direction was really good in my opinion. Glad to see Brotherhood on there!

@Robot99 To be fair, 2024 had 6 Mario games, and the rest of 2024/2025 was pretty quiet in terms of quantity of releases.

It was only a matter of time before Nintendo Music got it's first "must-avoid" soundtrack.

@Robot99 Okay, okay, second "must-avoid" soundtrack.

I see what others are saying, but it's not a bad soundtrack IMO. It grows on you, and the music makes some nice background noise.

Edit: We absolutely need the others, tho. Inside Story, Dream Team, even Paper Jam.

I've been a bit curious about this game's soundtrack, even though it's not done by the marvelous Yoko Shimomura. I'll give it a listen a bit later.

I actually don't mind this soundtrack one bit, but I was not expecting Brothership at all.

Sucks that they picked the worst Mario and Luigi soundtrack out of the bunch to put on the service first. Dream Team, Partners in Time, or Bowser's Inside Story deserve it more.

So for my weekly slightly under an hour of Nintendo Music listening, I'm currently at Golden Sun: The Lost Age. After that I'll do Star Fox 64 and Mario Kart 7 (a game where I looked into my 3DS stats and found out I never played it again 3 months after launch lol), with Wind Waker and Pokemon Sword and Shield as backups in case nothing new is added that interests me. I haven't played Sword and Shield but the couple of songs I did hear from it were very good. It is funny that I decided Wind Waker is a back up when its one of Nintendo's best soundtracks ever tbh.

Meanwhile, I'm over here content with listening to the same 464 tracks in my favorites list on shuffle over and over and over again. I think I have a pretty high tolerance for repetition 😆

I'm gonna go ahead and throw out my guesses!

• Donkey Kong Bananza — still hoping for this as our first S2 soundtrack!
• Oracle of Ages and Seasons — I'd love to see a doublepack drop, and it wouldn't even be that huge, so it seems possible.
• ACNH — maybe we'll get the remaining songs??

I left Splatoon 3 out of this one; I doubt we will see the rest of the OST until after 11.0 drops.

I'm going back to Kirby Block Ball as my prediction.

Complete Animal Crossing: New Horizons OST, Donkey Kong Country Returns, or an SNES game.

I’m going to have my main prediction be the rest of Forgotten Land. Jamboree got added in December and its Switch 2 edition released in July so maybe now’s the time for the rest of Forgotten Land considering the Switch 2 edition released in August.

As for my other 2 guesses, WarioWare Move It and Echoes of Wisdom. Nintendo seems to really like picking soundtracks from the time window where almost every game was a Mario universe game (October 2023 - January 2025) but I think if we were getting DKC Returns soon we would’ve gotten it last week instead of Brothership.

My guesses this week are Link’s Awakening, Minish cap or Majora’s Mask
