Thats it. It takes ages - its roughly possible to accumulate orbs for one big summoning during a week and then you dont get anything great or just 3 stars mediocre...
Heard that those daily login bonuses will be no more after the 13th of february... then it will probably become even harder to get orbs - still I am not gonna pay for this game a single penny.
this game has a lot in common with gambling. I think I am getting why people spend money on it.
If you pay a lot you might end up with four 5 star +10 units in the arena and probably become the no.1. lol
While I dont necessarily have that desire I feel disappointment when I just get three star units and accomplishment when I get a five star hero.
IMHO they should allow free players to make more summons, like a possibility to earn about 20 orbs every two days. That would make it fun - you could do a full summon every two days, I could live with that! Those who pay would still be at a tremendous advantage and those who dont want to pay (maybe because they invest in real video games) would still be happy.
I have basically stopped playing (the only map I played last week was the Robin event) but decided to try my luck in summoning now that there's a new focus. Got a 5* Klein. The only other 5* I have is Jeorge. Kind of a bummer that both are archers but I'm not enjoying the game anymore so... I still have 60 orbs left. It's a shame you can't gift them to another player. They're waiting for me if I decide to continue someday.
I wish we could trade extras. That would be nice. I have a 4* Marth that I am not planning to use.
Anyway, I got a 5* of the new Healer (forgot her name), but she is actually pretty dam good and possibly the best healer in the game. She has Physic, gives Resistance to next units, and boosts Defense in her Heal Special.
20 orbs in 2 days ALL the time? Even I feel that's a bit too generous, even factoring in that a 5* isn't guaranteed.
Maybe add in a daily free summoning, that can be anywhere from 1* to 5*. Obviously you'd get dupes and such, but eventually you may nab a new character that can still be useful (just with more elbow grease).
Nintendo Badge Arcade gives out free plays all the time, so I can see it working for this game too.

I dont know. I think I will call it quits with this game sooner rather than later. I start to feel the annoyances of the freemium part of this game. Buying orbs is a luxury that I dont want to afford. There are so many better things to buy for that money. A month ago I was complaing about the switch pricing at least thats a solid product with solid games coming up. This one is a form of gambling - its more or less innocent if you dont pay for it but can become addictive once you start paying for it.
Well, I officially summoned my sixth 5* and still haven't dropped a cent. This time, it happened to be Nowi. It seems I can remain viable in Arena now(i). Thinking about it, it seems that they've been trying to keep players occupied. I mean, there's the story and then they provided a ton of Dueling Crests. I feel like whatever the fifth mode is, it might be the main place to play after we've finished the story and once they stop handing out Dueling Crests at every opportunity. Still hope that they'll find a way to balance the units more and prevent the meta from getting stale, but I'm pleased with this game (given the fun I've gotten out of it for free).

That's too generous. Final Fantasy Brave Exvius is a top notch gatcha with tons of ways to get pulls; Daily half pull, summon tickets, 10+1 pulls, or normal pulls. And constant reasons to keep playing; daily rewards and weekly+monthly pvp rewards, banners and more banners (which include a new 3 star to keep failure pulls new and different and new higher stars to keep the game exciting, compared to Heroes where all the new characters are always 5 stars), daily bundles which are literally free, story chapters updated and Trust Master Rewards. Brave Exvius started strong and continues to do so, but all this won't grant you a 5 star all the time.
Fire Emblem Heroes suffers from the lack of this balanced consistency. Players log in, get the daily orbs. Log out. The only thing that's got going for this game is higher pull chance when your summon session fails. But still, how often does everyone here get experience the summon sessions. It's agonizing to wait for, and only get trash units everyone has and couldn't care about grinding to 5 * thanks to these feathers. At this rate, this game will be just another niche gatcha that pulled money at the beginning because people had a hard on for Fire Emblem. And if Nintendo doesn't add beneficial content to the game to keep it alive, then the game will be declared just a way to grab money of you and they won't care.
If nothing along side Inherit skills comes to keep Heroes consistent, I'm quite done.

If it wasnt fire emblem I wouldnt have even tried. Right now I will basically stick to what I have got and dont care about pulls. Whatever I get that I get.
The calendar wallpapers for Ike and Lyn are now available! This artwork was shown before, but I had assumed it would show their special event appearance. No news on when they will arrive yet.
Oh and it looks like the banner for the next focus summoning has leaked. @DarthNocturnal ya when in a mobile app, they can only use coins obtained within the app. I'm thinking there is maybe just some issue with using the platinum coins that are obtained outside the apps.
So, I'm trying to figure out who to promote to 5*. I'm currently thinking Effie, Tharja (although I have Sanaki), CorrinF (although I do have Nowi), Jeorge, or Fae. What experiences have you had with these characters? Are there any among these that you'd strongly recommend? Any others who you've found to be particularly strong?

Effie. She's a very good tank against the red meta right now and prevents getting doubled. I have to keep a Nacian around to hard counter characters like her. But the red meta makes it dangerous to use green units.
I got a new 5 star hero, Reinhardt. While it seems he'll be useful, he'd be more useful if he was more like the Overwatch character as I seem to be struggling to get tank characters.
