Something I would like that will never ever happen would be Pokemon DNA Combining.... Anyone ever play the Monster Rancher Games back on the old PS1 well in them you could freeze your monsters and then you could combine them.. I love Pokemon but Monster Rancher certainly had some intresting stuff like your monsters eventually dying from old age etc.
I would like to see a Remake (or a new game.) of Pokemon Stadium combine with Pokemon Stadium 2, with the Mini games, the Gym Leaders, and the Pokemon from both games into one. maybe online support as well?

@kerr9000
I played Monster Rancher 2 and 4 long time ago.
Monster Rancher 4 was the best from all series with 60 fps and able to train a lot of monsters at the same time.

I never got to play 4, but I played the living heck out of 1 and 2 both on my own and with my daughter. I did hope to get round to ordering an import of 3 or 4 and playing it on a PS2 with a hardrive and the mcboot stuff but never got quiet round to it . There is so many game things Id like to do and so little time.

Monster Farm 1 & 2 has been ported to Nintendo Switch, but only available in digital and Japanese version.
Finding Monster Rancher 3 & 4 on Ebay was really almost impossible as the price was insane with very limited stock available. Instead the Japanese version are available with more stock and cheaper price.
@luckiernut : They won't use the starters if they're only going to use two of three. I think Marill, Togepi, and/or Snubbull are the most likely candidates. Baby Pokémon are also a possibility (I would LOVE Let's Go Smoochum for the sheer novelty of it) but their stats are much too low to be of use in the long-term, even with candies and exclusive moves like the ones in Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee.
"Gee, that's really persuasive. Do you have any actual points to make other than to essentially say 'me Tarzan, physical bad, digital good'?"
I want to see them revisit sequels, and make sequels of older regions. Especially Kanto. Enough of these copy/paste jobs with the same flat, blocky overworlds, the same pitiful selection of Mons, the same nonexistent story, and the same flat personalities they call characters. I want to play Kanto as it would be if they made it today, not Kanto as it was with the same antiquated design of 1996 with an HD coat of paint. Legends Kanto might partially satisfy this, but it's not quite the same since it'd be an empty overworld and would probably still have little in the way of lore/story. Kanto desperately needs the BW2 treatment where it actually improves Kanto the same way that BW2 improved Unova (i.e. no, GSCHGSS doesn't count because it didn't actually improve Kanto, it just tacked Johto on top of it and actually regressed Kanto).
Here's an idea from Wario himself: A Pokemon game where you play as Team Rocket instead of a trainer. It mixes stealth mechanics with the pokemon formula for poke-heists. Your main goal ingame is to steal pokemon to give information to the scientists so that they can create all powerful pokemon (aka mewto). There will be police chases, interragations, and complex puzzles to solve. Anyways that has been my Ted Talk. Thanks for listening!
I know this is never going to happen but the topic doesn't prescribe that I have to have realistic wishes, so:
I'd love to see them return to the sprite-based era, even if they were a side venture to the main 3D titles. I feel like Pokemon lost a lot of charm when it abandoned sprite-based graphics and grid movement. A 2.5D style a la Octopath or that Dragon Quest HD collection would be great, I think.
Hang on to your youthful enthusiasms - you'll be able to use them better when you're older.
@TommyTendo I feel like Black and White was like a precursor to all of these gorgeous 2D-3D styled games we've been getting from Square Enix like Octopath Traveller and the upcoming Triangle Strategy (what a name btw). At the same time, however, while I quite liked BDSP's style, I don't know how they'd be able to replicate it in BW purely for the increased sense of scale it has comparatively to DPP, such as the Skyarrow Bridge and Castelia City. It'll be interesting for sure however, no doubt about that. BW were my first Pokemon games ever so they better not **** it up.
Currently MIA for exams; see you all in a bit! o7

Just don't keep repeat the 10 years old kid leaving from Mom's house, meet the professor, meet their rival, the team villain, the peoples waiting for you to battle, legendary Pokemons all the time.
That was predictable.
Change the plot line.
For any Gen V remakes, I hope they make it a two-pack with both the original game and its respective sequel together on a cart (i.e. Black/Black 2 and White/White 2).
@Snatcher they should make it a 38 year old living in his moms house and he catches Pokémon by dancing. He levels up and get a six pack and levels up more to receive more packs in his fore head and buttocks and arms.
