Topic: Nintendo paid online delayed again

According to the official italian nintendo website the paid online for the switch will launch during autumn 2018 (autumn in europe is between end of september and mid december)
If this is true it means it’s delayed again. Although it might launch at different dates in different regions...

P.S. This is news right? If not I’m sorry.

EDIT: so it isn’t delayed as it never had a specific 2018 timeframe, sorry for the confusion. The news is, if the italian nintendo website is anything to go by, it will launch autumn 2018.

the question is, how is it delayed when we only got 2018 date before...?

@darkfenrir I thought it originally was confirmed for summer 2017 and than delayed to Q1/early spring 2018.

@Anti-Matter That's definitely telling that they're working on it's launch soon at least. Puts the Italian website news into question.

Back to the topic, to be honest considering how I didn't play online much... ^^;;; yeah, I'm not going to be hit by this. Although I'm glad it's cheaper than the two other competitors!

@darkfenrir if I can keep the games (as long as I pay) I don’t mind paying €20 yearly. I don’t play online either, maybe now that I have DOOM. But my guts say bethesda will go all in next year and release ESO on the switch and if that’s the case I might get more of my moneys worth

@darkswabber since they said they are doing that, sounds good. I do wonder if they'll release more online focused games next year... that way people will pay and when they got all the nice stuff they got positive experience, I guess.

Have fun with DOOM though the most interesting online game I'm looking at is splatoon 2 tbh, but since no other friend to play with, kinda not touching it for now.

If this is true then can we get virtual console games first?

Wasn't this rumor shot down as just a mistake by the Italian website?

@Heavyarms55 not sure, I posted this thread the day it was discovered so atleast then it wasn’t shot down.

@Pigeon I assume it will be even less than £20, seeing that it will be $20 and €20 (since pound it worth more than euro and euro is worth more than dollar)

Rocket League and Splatoon 2 immediately spring to mind! Both of these games have great, reliable online multiplayer.

@biblops also DOOM’s online is great.

Honestly give Splatoon 2 another try, I've only had it for 5 days but I've not found it to be too unbalanced or difficult to win/enjoy online. I will agree the game itself is pretty complicated though, took me ages to understand the meaning behind all the different numbers and menus.

@biblops Splatoon 2's great fun with a friend(or friends), but alone it's also fun IMO. It never 'caught' me though, I stayed off the hook and barely play it now. I agree with you on that the game has a steep learning curve though.
