I just got a message like that from Internet Explorer yesterday (reformatted my computer and hadn't downloaded Chrome yet). Never got a request to run a program though, thankfully.
You should sue the site AB, I am for emotional scarring and distress, as for Norton, my own experience with Norton wasn't good, lost count of how many times it needed re-installed, as well as being extremely fussy with what software it could or could not work alongside, tried a few others like AVG, Avast and now Comodo, personally like Comodo security most its new but good.
I think it's the 3rd-party ads. I run Firefox on my computer and honestly didn't know that viruses could now be spread by malicious code on web pages. I was on this site a few weeks ago and got a sudden virus alert followed by something installing itself on my computer automatically. I've learned to just turn my computer off if something weird starts happening, and haven't had any problems since. If it ever happens again, I will take note of what's on the screen before I shut down.
Moco Loco If you find yourself spiritually drifting (as I was for far too many years), remember that Jesus can and will walk across the water to reach you and bring you back to shore.
For you, the day LordJumpMad graced your threads, was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Tuesday. [url=http://www.backloggery.com/jumpmad]Unive...
Microsoft Security Essentials should keep you safe. I don't know how well it'll stand if you visit the more unsavoury corners of the internet, but if you're just browsing places like NL then it should do you fine. It's also free.
Edit: I used to use IE and it done it all the time. I use Chrome now and the issue resolves itself and reloads. I just wonder what is up with all the reloading this site has to do. Seems like if you are on one page on this site more than 10 seconds it has to load something else over and over.
what anti-virus software did you use? You have to be careful when you chose to use an anti-virus software cause not all of them are good. I recommend you to use Kaspersky, I use it too and I can say that it's the best I've ever had.
