@Yoshibros222 If you're going to talk to nintendo or return the controllers, you need to rule out two basic things as a formatlity:
-make sure joycons/controllers are updated (joycons/controllers need to be attached to console or plugged in to update. Go into switch settings/controllers & sensors/update controllers)
-test button inputs(switch settings/controllers & sensors/test button inputs)
If the joycons are new or new-ish, you're quickest solution is to return them to the store, or exchange for new ones. Otherwise, going through nintendo is an option, granted thats a longer process, but they honor hardware fixes for controllers if a store won't let you return/exchange.
