My nephew who is 4 got a 2DS for Christmas & now gets this message when trying to play MK7 which is stored on the sd card “write protection is enabled on the sd card. The software on the sd card cannot be displayed.”

When booting up the camera this message appears “cannot write to the sd card. Please turn off the power & move the write-protection Switch on the sd card to the off position”

Done this & he still can’t play the game. Is there a way to fix this? He may have taken the sd card out with the console on but not sure.

Starz, that is NOT an American number. American numbers do not look like that. They are formatted using 1 for the country code then xxx-xxx-xxxx where the first triplet is the Area Code (state or portion of a state). I have no idea what country that number is from, but it isn’t the US. Googling country code 44, tells me that 44 is the country code for the UK.

just take the card out of the 2ds, on the card there is a little switch that protects the card from writing. Down is locked, up is unlocked. Switch it to up-position and insert it back.

He's done that & it still doesn't work. His laptop said there is a problem with the SD card & my brother said to me the other day that he thinks the card is corrupt.

@Starz Buy a new card - it`s the only way.
