Topic: Nintendo Switch Not Booting Up After Replacing Right Analog Stick and Case

I had to recently replace my right analog stick thanks to the rubber tip peeling off. I figured I would also replace the case to a transparent one. After replacing the analog stick and putting my Nintendo Switch Lite back together, when I turn on the console the screen turns on for ten or so seconds without displaying the Nintendo Logo and shuts back off. Does anyone have an idea which part I may have messed up before I buy new parts and replace each one by one? I have already let it charge over night.

@Whacka How do you feel about resetting the Nintnedo AC adapter? It's possible this could be your issue. I think I've seen at least 3 posts here on NL about similar scenarios. Two, or all of them, were solved by resetting ac adapter. Sounds crazy, but it's a thing. Give it a try.

Here are Nintendo's directions:
The Console Has No Power, Has a Blank Screen, or Won't Wake Up From Sleep Mode

If this doesn't solve it, it could indicate a hardware problem. But I don't think messing with your joycon is the source of your problem. That's just my guess.

@Whacka Call me Mr. Hindsight, but wouldn't it have been better to use a thumbstick protector over the top of the thumbstick so that you couldn't feel the cover peeling off?

The Switch Lite only released in September but you've now voided your warranty by opening it up. And you've seemingly messed things up.

I don't mean to beat on you cos the damage is done now and you have my sympathy, but I would never open up an in-warranty device when there were other options.

Good luck with it.

You guys had me at blood and semen.

What better way to celebrate than firing something out of the pipe?

Nothing is true. Everything is permitted.

@Whacka ohhh, i didn't notice you opened a Lite console. I thought you opened a joycon. If resetting the AC adapter doesn't solve it, I don't know what that could mean.

@WoomyNNYes Although its been two weeks I finally figured out the problem, it was the LED screen. I ordered a replacement and it works great. Thank you for the help.

@Whacka Wow, it was the screen? And you replaced it? You clever rascal 😉😉 I'm impressed. Nice work. Thanks for sharing the outcome!
