Topic: I need help regarding My Nintendo and saving money

Okay, so I'm in quite the predicament here. But I'll start with stating a few basic facts first otherwise people will think I'm an adult with a job and tons of cash...
I'm just a college student, 17, in the UK and only earn £30 a week while I'm in college. But right now I'm on Easter holidays for one more week so I won't get £30 until the 2nd week I'm back I think. I'll have another 1 week half term holiday on May 26th, back on June 6th and then I end college on June 22nd. Sometimes I don't get £30 and instead get £60 the following week. I currently have £295.15 but I started at £500. I'm TRYING to save money and get back some cash to at least where I was before, but I keep finding good tempting deals on games.
(Extra note: My parents are also concerned about the amount of money I have right now and how much I've spent.)

Another thing, jobs local in my area are TERRIBLE, I asked last year for Summer, but no one contacted me. >

I'm only interested in the Fire Emblem discounts, because Virtual Console BARELY gets discounted. But Fire Emblem Awakening? I never did get it and I feel like I should get it now because I can't find it anywhere else cheaper as a retail copy. There IS the chance of it being made into a Nintendo Selects version later so I can get it cheaper but then if it doesn't, I'll probably never get it because it will be higher price.
If I get all of them, I'll get 90 Gold points, and if I just get the VC ones I'll get 30.

I get Nintendo eShop codes on CDKeys since I can get a £25 one for £22.79 by using a 5% discount code on their Facebook page.
http://www.cdkeys.com/nintendo/eshop-topup-cards
But they're out of stock right now, which isn't helping. I could use my Visa card on the eShop or I could wait for the £25 or a combination.

Now here's what I've got pre ordered right now so I haven't been charged yet until they dispatch:
Fire Emblem Fates Special Edition = £69.99
Legend of Zelda The Wind Waker Nintendo Selects = £15.45 (I'm buying this from a shop that's not selling at the RRP of £19.99)
New Super Mario Bros. U and New Super Luigi U Nintendo Selects = £15.99 (Same here)
The Nintendo Selects in Europe release on April 15th, 2 weeks to go. FEF releases on May 20th, 7 weeks to go.
I could get the Nintendo Selects from the eShop at £19.99 each but in return I get 30 Gold points each so 60 in total.
I plan on selling my copy of NSMBU for around the same price to get the combo at little cost or something since I haven't got the NSLU DLC.

Now I think that's all that's left is the rewards I'm interested in on My Nintendo.
https://www.nintendolife.com/news/2016/03/my_nintendo_and_its_...
I have 710 platinum points by the way. (Can't get Miitomo right now because it doesn't work on iPhone 4)
0 Gold points of course.
I'm interested in the following:
Metroid Fusion = I'm fairly new to Metroid and since this is the last one in the timeline, I have a ways to go so maybe I shouldn't get this right now.
Super Mario 64
WarioWare Touched = Currently don't have enough points so probably shouldn't try to get.
Super Mario Land 2 = or maybe this is a waste?
Metroid Other M 50% discount = This comes right before Fusion so maybe I should wait.
My Nintendo Picross - The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess = Same as WarioWare. But I don't even know what Picross is and I don't understand why it's popular, would appreciate an explanation.
Pullblox World 20% discount = £8.99 right now, 20% discount means £7.19 I think. I'm not that interested in it though.
Legend of Zelda A Link Between Worlds 20% eShop discount = it's currently £15.99 on the eShop because it's a Nintendo Selects version now, 20% discount means it will be £12.79, but as you can see here: http://www.idealo.co.uk/compare/3902075/the-legend-of-zelda-a...
I can find it for around the same price in a retail version. But getting it digital gives me Gold coins to spend on My Nintendo rewards. BUT then there's another problem being that I want to complete A Link to the Past first but I want to play the GBA remake instead but it isn't on the eShop yet but I can wait. (A lot of buts...) So maybe I shouldn't get this yet since I won't be playing it for a long while.
I already have Mario Kart 7, Splatoon and Mario & Donkey Kong Minis on the Move.

Okay, I think I'm done with the information. I'm trying to think of how to go about spending my money and My Nintendo points, I really want those Fire Emblem VC discounts and I'm set in stone with the FEF Special Edition pre order.
I basically have a budgeting problem here and I really need help, so how should I go about this? What should I spend on and what shouldn't I spend on?
If you have any questions for more details, feel free to ask.

PS: For some reason, I feel awkward asking this.

If you are too worried about money, I wouldn't even think about gaming right now. I'd make a budget first before even thinking about spending

@TingLz: But I don't want to miss out on offers on the games. They don't last forever y'know. :/
The chance of Nintendo discounting anything I've listed again is 0.325%. #FiReference

That's a heck of a lot of info to take in at once, as an equally poor uni student in the UK I empathise with you, and will agree with what was posted above. You need to be in a position where you have 'X' amount of disposable income and budget accordingly based on what you have coming in and what you want to spend it on. I do something similar and wait for discounts and sales, different for Nintendo than it is for Sony and Microsoft, and I'd say you're doing that right. It'd be better for us giving you advice if you posted your taste in games so we know what to recommend, if you love Fire Emblem then I can't recommend Awakening high enough.

@TheLastLugia: I finally get a decent answer. (I also asked for help on another forum but not much help there)
Anyway, sorry for the amount of info. I just wanted to provide every detail otherwise I wouldn't get the answer I'm looking for.

I did post my taste in games by saying what I'm interested in that's offered by My Nintendo and the latest eShop discounts.
I know how popular Awakening is, but how should I go about it? I want to get the VC ones too, and I'm not sure whether to wait for those eShop codes to get back in stock on CDKeys or just use my Visa debit card. That would mean paying approx. £38, but I'm already pre ordered 3 games which goes around £75 which is insane. I could just get Awakening, but then I lose out on the VC ones which barely go on sale. Or I could just get the VC ones and pay approx. £12, but getting Awakening probably won't happen for a long while unless they turn it into a Nintendo Selects version.
I also want to take advantage of My Nintendo.

Honestly if you're hurting too much, I'd just go for Awakening. The VC discounts are probably not that substantial by comparison. Plus Awakening will keep you busy for a while if you love Fire Emblem

I dunno. Awakening is pretty beefy in content, so it's hard to say. I'm making the point that you're saving about 20 pounds on Awakening versus a few pounds for the VC games. I'd go for the bigger bargain. Plus I have 300 hours in my Awakening game

Yeah in my personal opinion Awakening gives better value for money, a huge majority of Fire Emblem games before it left much to be desired, especially if one is playing them for the first time by today's standards. Even with the discounts I wouldn't recommend the older Fire Emblem games (including the Tellius duo which I am a fan of) over Awakening as the production value, accessibility and depth of content has never been higher in FE than what it is now with these 3DS games. Of course for Fates it necessitates buying the limited edition to get the 'full' experience but that's a horse of w different colour and I've been assured by people who only own one of the Fates games that it's still worth it just for that.

So yeah I'd say the 3DS ones are the best ones.

@TheLastLugia: Just so you're aware, Sacred Stones was my first FE but I never got to finish it. I loved it.
I had to do a Google search of 'Tellius duo' to find out what you meant. I already played Path of Radiance, and while I loved the story and characters, the difficulty was INSANE. I liked having a world map in Sacred Stones because I could train my units. I eventually gave up on chapter 12, which made me sad.

I understand both of your points about Awakening having a lot of content, but wouldn't I be able to get Awakening around the same price it's at on the eShop now in the future in a physical version? Nintendo almost never discounts the Virtual Console. I could get the VC ones now cheaper and get Awakening around the same price at a later time. And Awakening has a chance of being turned into a Nintendo Selects version right? Any game does, but even if it doesn't, I might get it cheaper anyway. Or there's always 3DS VC on NX.
This is all a matter of risk isn't it?

Ya know, I would like some help regarding the other things I mentioned. I was only recommended to get FE Awakening. E.g. What should I spend my future gold points on? Or should I save them? There's other things mentioned in the main post too......

Okay, sorry for the 3rd post in a row but I think I've decided on what to do. I actually did the math(Actually, I used a calculator a bunch of times) and the end result isn't too bad.
I'll buy all FE games on sale, Metroid Other M with the My Nintendo Discount, use the rest of my eShop funds on Link's Awakening DX since I never actually played it, then I'll use the rest of my gold points on Super Mario 64.
Sound good?
My end result came to be approx. £440 at least.
I do need a job though to get more cash, but there's nowhere local in my area that fits me.
