Currently have the family membership and my cousin bought a Switch. If I add him to my account as an adult account who gets charged when he purchases games?

@JenoR I don't think sharing Nintendo Switch Online family plan is the same as sharing eshop purchases. I'm pretty sure people on here have shared family plans. For the NSO, I think sharing the family plan is just having your nintendo accounts pointing to each other for the sake of sharing NSO, not messing with eshop credit info. So, if you log into your nintendo account on nintendo's website, there's a section for sharing NSO family plan, you add the other person's email to it. Then your friend/family member has to log into their nintendo acount on nintendo's website and cofirm being added to their NSO family plan, I believe.

Maybe someone else here can clarify or confirm.

@JenoR Only the person who bought the game on their eShop account will get charged. If your cousin buys a game/DLC from the eShop, you won't get charged - only your cousin since he/she would be the one making the purchase.

The one great thing about family memberships is that everyone in your family group has access to everything NSO has to offer, with only one person paying for it. I run a family membership of my own and everyone else in it can play online/back up save data with no additional charge. Hope this all helped.

@MarioLover92 I looked around on nintendo support to find something official to reassure the OP, but the support site dances around the topic, I guess because there's more profit if people aren't sharing family plans.

@WoomyNNYes Yeah, I go on their support site if I'm having trouble with something or if I want to do stuff like transferring data to another console. I based my post off my own experience and I only saw that you posted before me right when I posted my reply.

@MarioLover92 No, Thank you for confirming.

I have two accounts of my own sharing the family plan (I did it so I could have two Splatoon 2 accounts). But it's just been so long since I set it up back in 2018, that it's not fresh in my head. And I haven't done it across two consoles myself.
