I beat Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow, which means for four years in a row I beat a game in the Castlevania Advance Collection in October and it is complete. It was fun to go back to these, even if my nostalgia has to admit defeat and say Aria of Sorrow is in fact, definitely better than Harmony of Dissonance.
Other game I plan on playing before the month is over is Doom 3. I don't think I played past Dooms in October like I did for Castlevania, but Doom 3 is apparently the most horror focused game in the series so that works well for this.
We are in the final week. I am hoping to finish of Dawn of Sorrow by Halloween, not sure if I will since I got side tracked with the World of Warcraft anniversary event. Still I got a few games done this year the main being Portrait of Ruin.

I played Yokai Watch 3 Tempura 3DS and keep grinding EXP by violating the traffic lights two times until I fight the Red Oni to get more than 10K EXP points after battle.
Also, I did photoshoot about spooky graveyard on Harvey Island (Animal Crossing New Horizons) with myself as the ghost, Raymond and Marshall as the villagers.
I gave Vampire Survivors a spin since it's available as a NSO trial and...am surprisingly enjoying it! Not GotY material or anything, and I doubt I'll finish it before the trial expires. But I think I will keep playing until it's no longer available.
I've also been trying out the Steam demo of Werewolf: The Apocalypse - The Book of Hungry Names. This is VERY MUCH the tabletop game in plain text form (with the occasional illustration in story mode). Doubt I'll buy the full game anytime soon, but it's telling when I've put 11 hours into the demo.
@Tasuki I've just finished the 4 paintings in the upper most room in Draculas castle before going into the 5th, locked one. About how much longer do I have in the game?
@NintendoByNature It all depends. If you are going for 100% I'd saw about 10 to 12 hours if not maybe about 4. It's definitely one of the more longer DS Castlevania games.
I 100% it but that's me and that took me about 20 hours I want to say in total.

Its that time of year again. Leaves are changing colors, darkness is coming early and pretty soon little ghosts and goblins will.be besiege our homes for sugary treats. Its also a great time of the year to play some spooky games.
So what is everyone playing this spooky season? I have a few I want to get to this year so I will be putting my playthrough of Boderlands 3 on pause for the following games.
Castlevania Symphony of the Night (Series X) Time for my yearly replay of this classic.
Resident Evil 4 (Wii) I am not a huge RE fan but I always enjoyed 4 especially on the Wii
Silent Hill F (Series X) Been looking forward to this game and what a perfect time to play it.
If I get more.time I might squeeze in something else but those 3 games are my goal.this year.

Im still playing through dark deity 2 and ill be jumping on mario galaxy 2 at some point. I've been waiting for re4r to hit a discount on Xbox, so maybe that. Or the last castlevania ds game in the collection on S2. Not sure as of yet, but I know ill play something spooky.
Like every year during Spooky Season, I play Super Castlevania IV. It's kind of become a Ritual.
Then I'll probably play Resident Evil HD and Cronos or Fatal Frame / Project Zero - Maiden of Dark Water.
October and scary games just go together somehow.
Arguing with stupid People is like playing Chess with a Pigeon. No matter how well you play Chess, the Pigeon will knock over all the pieces, poop on the board, and strut around as if it had won.
I've seen Donkey Kong Country 2 deemed a Halloween game,
and Donkey Kong Country 3 a Christmas game.
Seems a bit of an oversimplification,
but there's something in it.
My Halloween game this year is gonna be Alien: Isolation. I might get to Doom Eternal before the month ends, I might not. Half-considering playing Castlevania: Bloodlines, since I finally beat everything on the Advance Collection. (I'll save replaying the DS games or trying the Bloodstained series for another time)
