For me, forte is JRPGs, specifically turn-based. Though Pokémon Legends Z-A will be my first action JRPG when I get to it.
Formerly ShieldHero
My top 5 favorite games:
1: Pokémon Violet
2: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
3: Animal Crossing New Horizons
4: Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope
5: The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
My favorite genres are RPGs, JRPGs, and action-adventures. But I'm also not averse to a good platformer or Metroidvania.
And when I want something particularly calm or relaxing, I'll also play a point-and-click adventure or visual novel.
My favorite game series are the two best game series ever and of all time
1. The Legend of Zelda
2. Yakuza
followed by Xenoblade in third place, and then it gets difficult. Depending on my mood, it's either Final Fantasy or Dragon Quest or Atelier Ryza or Resident Evil or Uncharted or Persona or Fallout, etc.
There are too many good game series, but my top 3 will probably remain the same forever, hehe.
I've played pretty much all the most important JRPGs and RPGs, every Final Fantasy game including the two MMOs, every Dragon Quest, Atelier, Star Ocean, some Tales of Parts, Suikoden, Grandia, Lufia, Fallout (1&2 are awesome from an ISO perspective), Baldurs Gate, Pathfinder, Pillars of Eternity, Elder Scrolls, Cyberpunk 2077 , Witcher 3, Kingdom Come, even some more “exotic” stuff like Phantasy Star Universe.
I used to play a lot on PC and PlayStation 1-4, but since COVID-19, I've switched to Series X and Switch, and now, since June of this year, I've been exclusively on Switch 2 (with the exception of a mediocre laptop with RTX 3070 for my love-hate game Elite Dangerous Odyssey, which I play excessively for 2-8 weeks at a time and then not at all for several months).
Arguing with stupid People is like playing Chess with a Pigeon. No matter how well you play Chess, the Pigeon will knock over all the pieces, poop on the board, and strut around as if it had won.
I LOVE platformers, AAA or indie, like Sonic, Mario, Mega Man, Kirby etc with lots of cool techniques
I like JRPGs, especially monster catchers (Pokemon, Digimon, Yo-kai Watch), racing games (Mario Kart, Sonic Racing), and fighters (Mostly platformer ones like Smash but I enjoy Darkstalkers and Street Fighter) but above all I see a game that I recognize or gives me a good vibe based on stuff I've heard/seen to determine if I should play it
Hey guys I'm a gamer, student, sorta youtuber, but most of all NERD
I think I’ve developed several forte. My newest forte is Just Dance. Anyhow I don’t think I was ever really good at any game type. I just game to have fun.

My forte is probably kart racers, puzzle games and platformers.
However, if my playthroughs of New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury, Super Mario 3D All-Stars and Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe are anything to go by, my gaming skills are actually aging. I was legit losing lifes constantly, not to the point of Game Over, though.
Which is weird, because in 2023 I played Mega Man 1-7 for the first time in my life and didn't have much trouble with them.

Older Mario platformer games are more difficult than the newer Mario platformer like Super Mario Odyssey, Super Mario Wonder.
Platformer games with very strict rules and limited lives are not my forte as I will get frustrated for easily lost the multiple lives for making tiny mistake. Take a look also from older Crash Bandicoot games.
