Does anyone know if there are licensing issues with this game? It was only re-released once for Wii virtual console, never released on Wii U, 3DS or Switch. I assume we won’t see this game on the NES Switch online or any future Nintendo retro service?
I'd never thought about it before to be honest but apparently it was removed from the Wii VC in 2013, so I guess there was some kind of licensing issue. Maybe something to do with Alexey Pajitnov's involvement (again, I didn't actually know he worked on it) or the developer in general.
