Looks nice and clean. I love how they are keeping Zune.
Zune was my first MP3 player and always loved it's layout more than Apple's iPod- or iTunes, specifically.
Not only that but zune pass was amazing. too bad i didn't have a zune or windows phone at the time. But it was still great on my xbox and the free songs were great.

Yeah, Zune was real nice. And I loved the social aspect. It's just people downplayed it because it wasn't "Apple". So, there was this huge bias and alliance that really hindered Zune's success. I still prefer Zune to this day.
I may get Windows 8 at some point for the Mac Book Pro I'm using. I cannot afford to miss out on Guild Wars 2 and running 2 OS on one computer would be pretty fun.
Going to install the Beta a few days after it hits. (that server is going to get hit hard) and dual boot it along side my current XP. I see the xbox Companion app which should allow me to control my xbox with my pc.
back to zune for a sec, While i use combo of itunes and google music now i still use zune for all my tv shows.

So, from the pictures (didn't click the link..), but that's how it'll look like on the computer, right? With all the panels, similar to Xbox's new dashboard and Windows Phones?
Many people hate the Windows Phone 7 interface (me included). So why would they be excited about it being on a PC?
I personally love the WP7 interface and would probably be excited about it on a computer. I'd have to put my hands on it to be sure. At this point I could cautiously say, while I wouldn't run right out and purchase an upgrade for my existing XP and Windows 7 computers, I could definately see myself using it without issue if it came on a future purchase.
My wife had a Zune (Classic) and she loved it. Very functional and it was a gorgeous device. Sadly, Microsoft did a pretty poor job of marketing the product imho. I've had my eye on one of the Gears of War Zunes but they're just too expensive and my WP7 phone serves as my mp3 player now anyways.
