Topic: Why Does Almost Everybody Hate Super Paper Mario?

Loved it. I thought it had the most fresh gameplay and best story of the series.

I LOVED Super Paper Mario. I didn't mind the long dialogue because it was funny and I was saying it with a random accent to my friends while making up random names for the charcters/pixls, etc. It was a fresh and original game and a great break from the regular Mario games. (Bear in mind I haven't played the original 2 so I don't know if they're better but I will always like this game.) In fact, because I love this game so much, I am going to get the original off the VC. (I was going to before, but after playing SPM I want it a lot more now! )

Oh, and the Starman you get in this game is EPIC!!! Giant retro characters that kill everything? AWESOME!!! That koopa in chapter 3? I think is very smart by grabbing a Starman and chasing you.

All that text. They might as well've called it Super Paper Mario: The Novel.

This is about my 6th favourite wii game. I don't see why everyone is critisizing the text, I think it has one of the best storylines in the mario rpgs and Dimentio is my favourite villain in gaming. Imo the only bad thing about the game is chapter 2-3 and that guy that gets you to say please over and over is annoying too which is only a minor flaw.

Super Paper Mario is still fun. Its just for certain people i guess. But i personally loved it text or not which would you rather have. Endless text? or horrible voice acting. (cue super mario sunshine acting for bowser peach and bowser jr.)

Personally, I loved the game. It wasn't quite on the level that the 64 and Cube versions were but still excellent. I don't really mind all the reading and the story was outstanding IMO. Overall its an amazing game and I can't wait for the next!

you know i always wanted luigi final smash in brawl to be mr L. either like wario's were you turn into Jesus Christ or the Bro bot thing like fox's tank! but instead we get a gay dance.....

I just don't like the Paper Mario series altogether. I've tried The Thousand Year Door, which many consider to be the best, and I couldn't get into it. It bored the crap out of me. This one bored me, just not as much.

i loved this game to death. TO DEATH i tell you.
the only thing i disliked was that if you died in a boss fight ( such as that lizard-geek) you had togo through a bunch of text to get back to the action.

Super Paper Mario is one of my favorite Wii games! However, I found it the weakest of the paper series, and second weakest Mario RPG. But its still great.

Because no paper can be super!

I really liked it. Sure, there was too much text, you had to read all that text again if you got a game over, there were some incredibly needlessly boring parts, and the story line was predictable, but when it was good, it was REALLY good.

Smart people would've found the easy way around that. I don't think anyone at all who played the game did it the hard way by actually hitting it a million times.

Simple question: Go and play Paper Mario or Paper Mario 2 and tell me what you see changed, you'll catch on

It's a great game and one of my favorites on Wii, but it simply isn't as good as TTYD. BIS blows both of them out of the water, though.

@BF98 I have played the first two games, and I find SPM to be different but still enjoyable. I don't understand why EVERYBODY ELSE hates the game.

The game itself is actually great, but being a Fanboy of the original RPG formula, it's my destiny to hate it XD

But yeah, it's a good game. But I just have to hate it
