Rosalina, because she's pretty much the only Mario character of the main series that has anything resembling a personality and character development. That and I love the graceful/peaceful aura she gives off.
Daisy, because she was in the oh so bizzar Super Mario Land and hasn't been seen in a traditional mario game in ages. Mario needs to rescue somebody else for a change!
I like the fact that she hasn't been kidnapped in decades.
If you count the Mario Parties as "real" within the Mario Universe... She's more than capable of punching Bowser out of the scene.
