Yeah, that works for a touch screen. I'd also argue that those look way better than the Metro, since there's no big square ads in the middle. It just doesn't work as well when you're using a controller, and I am not getting a kinect just to use the interface.
That's the problem it was made with Kinect in Mine. Using Kinect with it turns me off even using the Wiimote. Thing's just seem faster swiping my hand and using Voice search.
The Ad's I really don't notice. Most of them are about the Hub. Why should I get mad when the music hub has an AD for Dance central DLC or the new Drake CD. The same with Video and games.
WAT!

I don't see how you couldn't notice them, they're freakin' huge and obnoxious. And then there's the little ones in the bottom righthand corner that have noise. I really hate that and apparently I'm not alone since people are going to extreme measures to turn them off.
@Mickymac Agreed. There are just too many ads on there now. It took me several minutes to find the icon to start my game, because I mistook it for another advertisement. I had expected the "Play Game" icon to be large and attention grabbing, yet it is actually a tiny little square hidden in a sea of ads. Hearing Chuck Norris rocking out to World of Warcraft every few seconds is also incredibly annoying.

Saw the Thread on Gaf about how to turn the off. The Majority of people who have the newer 360's have kinect. They've been coming with every unit since last year.
Also its not bullcrap. That's like me complaining that tablet mode in the windows 8 beta doesn't work properly with a mouse.
Maybe its because I use Zune video and to some extent music that those ad's don't bother me.
All I see is one small AD with the rest being part of the hub they're in.
Bing Search kind of takes care of most problems one would have with the marketplace. (it is messy now) {img]http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2011/12/xboxdash2011revi6434.jpg[/img]

The $200 4GB models that they're pushing don't come with Kinects.

Which is a valid complaint if you're forced to use Tablet mode when you don't have a freakin' tablet, which is the issue here.

I see One big ad and two smaller ones. Yes, just because it's not labelled as an ad doesn't mean it's not an ad when it obviously is one.

Yeah, if you know exactly what you're looking for, which I don't most of the time. I like to browse, which I can't properly do on this new UI.
But the two big Ad's are usaully pertaining what hub your in. Can one really complain that their is a Giant Joe Danger Ad in the games hub or one for trey songz in the music hub.
