Calvin and Hobbes FTW, followed closely by Pearls Before Swine.

Why do people point to their wrists when asking for the time, but don't point to their crotch when they ask where the bathroom is?

When I was young, The Beano and The Dandy. I believe they still are my favourite, anyhow. They're both British comics, I believe, so I don't think they're well heard of on the other side of the pond.

I've always been a fan of Garfield. His sarcastic attitude always cracks me up and John sorta reminds me of myself. I was reading those strips ever since I was in grade school and they're always good for a laugh.

Garfield's my long-time favorite, but I'm most partial to the Webcomic Better Days. It's refreshing to see a comicstrip that actually tries to have an interesting story to it, and while it may be a bit too risque at times, ultimately I found that it's the only comic that really stayed with me after I was done reading it.

Peanuts is the reason I can read, so that has to be up there; it would be my favorite but towards the end of its run it went way downhill, with Rerun and whatnot.
Pearls Before Swine used to be my favorite, but now it's obvious Pastis is running out of ideas and due to a going-on-ten year run it's becoming one of the older strips that it poked fun of so much in its early days.
Calvin and Hobbes has absolutely nothing wrong with it, other than a bit of repetitiveness, but thankfully the strip ended before it could go downhill; which is the problem with the above strips.

Garfield
A Man Called Horace
Fred Basset

Sigourney Beaver.

Rensch

Asterix, especially the ones before writer René Goscinny's death. My favourite has to be the one where Asterix and Obelix visit Britain.

Asterix and Tintin.

I just can't seem to like Garfield all too much, especially the newer ones.
