@Sunsy Yeah the Mega Man Dos games were rough. I remember a friend of mine had them when I was growing up. Because of those, I was so hesitant on the Gameboy Mega Mans and didnt play them till they came to the 3DS.

@Sunsy Ah, thanks for telling me. Never heard of that game until I saw you mention it, I thought it would be T-rated or something. I don't think I'd like it then. Yeah... it's kind of a shame that the games on Nintendo Classics don't have manuals.

More Nintendo Classics today. Having on Classic Game Room's NES videos made me want to play some NES. So I played R.C. Pro-Am and Twin Bee today. Wanted to play a shmup, and decided to play Twin Bee. Will admit, had to use rewind a lot on that fifth level of Twin Bee. Then the game loops back to level 1.
Also did played another round of Tuff E Nuff.
@Tasuki Hope the Game Boy Mega Man games were good, I've only played the second one on NES via my Wii. I was looking into DOS era fighting games, and learned about the first DOS port of Street Fighter II being pretty poor. Was reminded of Mega Man DOS when @D-Star92 pointed it out.
@D-Star92 No problem, though I do believe X-COM: Enforcer and XCOM 2 are T-rated. The Bureau acts as a prequel. Funnily enough the first XCOM game, UFO Defense, is E-rated. Not as violent, aliens spin around a fall over when hit, lol. I've been playing the series since getting X-COM: UFO Defense in December, been checking out some of the other games thanks to some sales on the games.
Indeed, there's things I wish I knew how to do, but don't want to resort to looking it up, but end up doing so because of the lack of a manual. Wario Land 3 has a lot of little mechanics to solve puzzles.
@Sunsy Yeah the GB games are decent. The biggest thing about them is they are more of Mega Man Lite versions of the NES games. The two that stand out is the first game Dr Wily's Revenge and Mega Man V. 2, 3, 4, they take Robot Master's from two different games and put them in one. Mega Man V however was its own thing completely different bosses this time its a group called Stardroids, if you never played it I highly recommend it especially if you are a fan of Mega Man. It plays really well and is just a great game. I believe its on NSO under Gameboy games.

@Sunsy Yes you're right, I looked them up and they're both rated T. That's cool, glad you're enjoying the series. Yeah... there's all sorts of transformations that Wario can have by taking damage in certain ways. Wario Land 2 and 4 has those, as well.
I played the Game Boy Mega Man games as well, they are generally pretty good. Mega Man V is definitely the best one of the bunch, would love to give that a replay sometime. @Tasuki is correct, MMI thru V are all on NSO/Nintendo Classics via the Game Boy app.
I found myself playing the NES app on Nintendo Classics on occasion, actually! I'd often play Tetris or Pinball since they're quick pick-up-and-play games. We used to have the latter way back in the day, too.

Final Fantasy XII
Finished Giruvegan and the Megakristh. The Megakristh reminded me of Final Fantasy IX. Also did a mob hunt for the Garif. I just want to keep playing.
More Nintendo Classics, played some TwinBee on the NES app this morning to pass the time waiting to go out to an appointment and do an errand.
Also, played Earth Defense Force on the SNES app this afternoon. Decided to try all the weapons in Earth Defense Force before actually going into the game. Love the homing missiles as it hits enemies that I normally can't hit with some of the other firing modes. Also, was chanting "EDF! EDF! EDF!" everytime I defeated a boss, which shows I've been watching too much Classic Game Room, lol. Made for a very fun afternoon.
@D-Star92 Yeah, thing with XCOM is the series seems to have a game that hits the E, T, and M ratings. Those transformations throw me off too, I had to look up what to do when Wario becomes a zombie. Was not expecting that the first time playing, but it happened during one of the levels at night.
@Tasuki@D-Star92 Cool, I'll have to check them out some time. I've been playing the Nintendo Classics a lot lately so hopefully I'll get around to trying the Mega Man GB games. Thanks!
@Sunsy At least they got all the ESRB ratings covered, lol. Yeah no problem! I played a bit of Mega Man III (GB) earlier actually, I went ahead and defeated a couple of the Robot Masters.
Oh that reminds me, I actually played that TwinBee game on the SNES with a friend of mine. I had fun with it, honestly, it's a good shoot-em-up. I have that 3D Classics version of TwinBee on the 3DS, as well.

Been playing Killing Floor 3 off and on for the past couple months. I appreciate a good wave-based horde shooter. My issue with the game are the weapon modification bonus abilities. Most of them are too conditional and too underpowered. The two most dangerous mobs are flesh pounds and scrakes.
One is weak to force and the other is weak to biologic.
So the easy answer is to take the ammo mod with high stumble, re-roll that ammo mod until you get the toxic bonus ability. Roll the same toxic bonus on the magazine mod. And roll stumble bonus ability on the barrel mod. All the other slots are just unnecessary build flavor. Put that setup on you sidearm, your primary, and your special weapon....zzzzz, victory.
At least the gunplay is solid and fun. I find it funny how the Commando's sidearm Bloodhound is my favorite weapon in the game, lol. When that zed time kicks in, I'm out here feeling like John Wick. But for most of the time I camp the spawn points feeling more like Martin Riggs.
Going to be a bit busy this afternoon, so played some F-Zero 99 this morning. F-Zero 99 is having a Meteor Sparks event going on, and earned a new backdrop and spin from the event. Played some races, but did a Mini Prix where I defeated all four rivals in one race, and did a Grand Prix race where I only made it passed the first race.
@D-Star92 Cool! I need to play Pop'n TwinBee more, I always see it on the SNES app. TwinBee is a good shoot 'em up, or rather a cute 'em up. Another good cute 'em up I like is Twinkle Star Sprites from the Neo Geo, I have it on PC (GOG release) and Switch. It's on Switch within the Arcade Archives.

I've played a bit more Pokémon LeafGreen today, though I had to wait a few hours to be in a good mood before playing and playing it is kind of bringing my bad mood back again. I may end up just putting it on hold or dropping it after a few more hours.
My bad mood is because of the added word filter making it not 100% true to the original like they were promising.
My top 5 favorite games:
1: Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1
2: Pokémon Violet
3: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
4: The Legend of Zelda Link's Awakening (2019)
5: Animal Crossing New Horizons
Mario Maker 2 Maker ID: MNH-8JB-PKG
Switch Username: Blanc
@Sunsy I agree, I like cute things as well, so Pop'n TwinBee is perfect for me. ❤️ I've heard of Twinkle Star Sprites, I should give it a shot sometime. I added it to my eShop wish list. Thanks for telling me it's on Switch since that's where I mainly play!
I also like Layer Section/Galactic Attack, that's another solid shoot-em-up. It was for the Sega Saturn, and it was brought over to Switch a few years ago. It has a co-op mode, too. My uncle used to have that game for his Saturn, actually, so I have some nostalgia for it.
Also, is it me, or does F-Zero 99 not have too many players nowadays? I played it a few months ago and there would only be like 20-something players before the timer reached zero... I had a feeling that the game filled the rest of the lobby with CPU bots afterward.

This afternoon I played a game called Sango Fighter. Learned about this one while reading up about DOS fighting games, surprisingly it's licensed as freeware, so I played it. It's a fighting game taking place in historic China, and it's a good one. Completed battle mode (arcade), and I liked it so much, I played it again after dinner and beat my high score. I've seen some call it a Street Fighter clone, given its historic China setting, I disagree as it feels like it's doing its own thing.
Tonight, I played Tyrian 2000, continuing my shoot 'em up kick I'm on. I had this one on my GOG account, so I decided to play through it this evening. A re-release of a shareware era game, and it was fun to play, especially when my ship was fully leveled up. Completed the first episode.
@D-Star92 You're welcome, I figure you might like it. Twinkle Star Sprites is one of my favorites.
Cool, I never heard of that one. Most of the Saturn stuff I've heard of is Sega's own games.
Yeah, when I did an F-Zero 99 race yesterday, I think there was four racers, myself included. When I did a Grand Prix, about half the lobby filled up, so people were playing that. Sad really since it's a fun game, and they have the Meteor Sparks event going on right now.
Played more F-Zero 99 today, doing more of the Meteor Sparks event. I unlocked four rewards, two borders, a backdrop, and a badge for my pilot card. Checking the event, I only have two more rewards left to unlock. Did a bunch of F-Zero 99 races and raced in a Grand Prix.
Also played Sango Fighter in battle mode again, and beat my high score again.
@D-Star92 BTW, playing F-Zero 99 tonight, Grand Prix had 71 actual players before the CPU racers appeared. This was between 7-8PM ET. F-Zero 99 mode had a lot less players. It seems like more play the Grand Prix (or other modes) more.

Been playing Disney Dreamlight Valley and got a few quests done. Also been playing The Disney Afternoon Collection and finished DuckTales. Thinking of playing Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers next in that collection. Can you tell I've been in a Disney mood tonight?
@Sunsy Oh nice, glad to hear it's one of your favorites. Yeah, Galactic Attack (which is what it was called here in the US when it came out on the Saturn) is honestly a very good and underrated game. I like how you could fire homing lasers at enemies below your ship. It is a little pricey though, so maybe wait for it to go on sale. Kind of a shame it isn't compatible with Switch 2 because of game progression, as well... hopefully they'll fix it.
Oh wow, that's a lot more than what I've had. I guess that makes sense since the other modes only stick around for a limited time. I'm not huge into time-limited events, but if I remember I'll try it out.

F-Zero 99 this morning and I unlocked all the rewards to the Meteor Spark event! I unlocked a boost and another backdrop, also two special borders for unlocking all eight rewards. Made it to race four in a Grand Prix, and did a bunch of F-Zero 99 races, two of which got top 10 and got my highest rank yet, fourth!
It is a little pricey though, so maybe wait for it to go on sale. Kind of a shame it isn't compatible with Switch 2 because of game progression, as well... hopefully they'll fix it.
Which game is this? I don't see Galactic Attack available on Switch or Switch 2.
Yeah, I'm now wondering if more play Grand Prix or other ticketed modes in general. The Grand Prix I did had more racers than the single race F-Zero 99 mode.
