MHFU is super awesomeness! LocoRoco 2... not so much :/ everyone has there own tastes but I didn't like it. Patapon 2 is also good. Me and My Katamari looks good too, also Daxter is cheap and from what I've heard pretty good, also Little Big Planet.

@edhe: Can't forget Ratchet and Clank Size Matters and of course the previously mentioned MGS PW. Both of the PSP MGS games are in a bundle for like $25 I think? The price just permanently went down for that bundle yesterday so I'm not sure.

The rest of the games on my PSP wishlist are RPGs...

btw I have played both of the recommended titles, just don't own them :3

Some great suggestions - particularly Monster Hunter, which I somehow forgot about (despite it emmigrating from the PSP).

I'll probably look into PSN for PSP as well. Does PSN require a subscription fee though?

Also, can someone explain how regional releases work with the PSN? I'm looking at a Wikipedia article, and while the European list seems especially barren (and the NA seems devoid of many Japanese games), it still says at the top "Unlike the original games, the games downloaded are not restricted by region locking."

What does this actually mean in practice?

No subscription fees required. You can subscribe to Playstation Plus, but that just gets you discounts.

Region-locking...I'm not sure about that. I think you can't access the japanese PS Store via the PSP, as I unfortunately found out. You can, however, access foriegn stores via the MediaGo, which is a program for your computer. Things get more tricky from there, though. I suggest look up more information. I know I only have access to my Japanese content so long as I don't download US content, but then I don't have access to my US content until I activate my PSP (not activate as in turning on, but...something else having to do with the PS Store).

Well the good news is that my sister is sending me her old PSP 2000 model. Gratis.

So if it comes down to it, perhaps I can buy a Cheap PSP for other regions - If it's neccesary, of course.

Star Ocean is available in Europe, but, apparently, Suikoden is only available in North America.

@Edhe

Ridge Racers - A very cool racing game with some really awe-inspiringly colorful and awesome tracks and an intensely awesome techno soundtrack. It has alot of retro bringbacks to the original Ridge Racer, is really fast-paced and really awesome, especially if you play it in first-person.

Ape Escape: On the Loose - An excellent port of the original Ape Escape. Gameplay is completely unscathed and it's nice to play one of the best platformers ever made on a portable device.

Sega Genesis Collection - Tons of fantastic gems from the Sega Genesis for really cheap. Shinobi III, Sonic 1 & 2, Golden Axe 1-3, Phantasy Star 2-4, etc... It's also a pretty good price nowadays for 28 games (14-25$)

So, if you're thinking of getting any games, I'd definitely recommend those three.

Both are outstanding games and offer pretty similar experiences, so either one would be a great choice. Ultimately though, Cave Story is one of the all-time greats so I have to say that one

"What Should I get, Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Vanquish, or Fist of the North Star: Ken's Rage?"

I ended up getting Vanquish, and I'll get Marvel vs. Capcom 3 hopefully some time next month.

I was wondering, has any one played SSF4? For someone who only has ever played Melee and Brawl, would this be fun?

Who knows. Street Fighter is good for newcomers to the genre. Just understand that it's nothing like Brawl whatsoever. They're not even the same genre. Brawl is more of a competitive Platforming action game, Super Street Fighter is a 1-on-1 Fighting game. Perhaps you'll like it for what it is. I know I had no trouble getting into Super Street Fighter 2 despite having little experience with the genre.

Is Borderlands is any good? I don't know if I'll like it because I usually don't like RPG elements. I just prefer simplistic games most of the time. But even if I like simplistic games more, I doesn't mean I don't enjoy games with RPG elements sometimes. In fact, I was just checking out the review on IGN. I first saw the written review but didn't read it all, and I saw a screenshot that showed your inventory, and there were a whole bunch of weapons. One was selected and it showed it's damage, accuracy, fire rate, ect. under the image it said "If this screen isn't interesting to you, you might not like Borderlands." And I was actually interested. I watched the video review and it looked like an interesting game. Do you think I'll really like it, or will I be overwhelmed by all of the stats and all of the RPG stuff?

@peterifico

And I wish you the best of luck. It is, in my firm opinion, one of the greatest fighting games of all time.

The Diablo style elements just make the game more addicting since you'll be wanting to upgrade your specs and grab new guns as you go. Otherwise it is a pretty simple FPS.

^Everything I've seen and read points to Luminous Arc being a very standard SRPG. If you like that kinda stuff, and can't get enough of sRPGs, It's probably worth a buy, especially now that its prices are going down.

Should I get Marvel VS Capcom 3 or Radiant Historia?
