I really hate how Minecraft is still getting recognition. Yes it's a good game, but it's been a one of the games of the year since it was released in Alpha pretty much.
Other than this, I think it's as great of a list as you could hope for from a magazine that, gamer-wise, appears to mainstream players, not niche RPG fans (just an example).
That you do. I dont know what the pocket edition has but I'm assuming your world isn't as big or as free as the PC's. I heard it was released on the Xbox 360 so you have two options really.
Preferably the PC version.
It doesn't have any crafting. I can delete anything and have a preset options of boxes, torches, and, ladders.
Also I hear the PC and xbox game are cross platform.
WAT!
Hey check out my awesome new youtube channel shingi70 where I update weekly on the latest gaming and comic news form a level headed perspective.

At the moment, pocket edition is just the builder part of the game. Survival mode etc to be added in later.

Yes they are. And if you only have the creation mode for an option (And I'm assuming a lack of any of the recent updates like swamp textures, new monsters, new songs, etc.), then your really missing out on a great game.
If you like the pocket addition then your going to love the real game.

Honest opinion: the best GOTY list I've read. I haven't played Minecraft, but its ambition certainly deserves to be noted, as does Sword & Sorcery EP, which has been criminally shafted from pretty much all year-end lists.

Nice list. It would've been nice if a 3DS game was on that list (SM3DL anyone?) to help show that 3D gaming isn't the next peripheral, but, I have to say, that's a really good list from a publication not known for covering video games.
