Ughhh. This fall sucks. I love sweatshirts and jackets. It is, right now at 6:07, 85 degrees, and sticky. I'm still wearing a sweatshirt. That's the ghetto of Cedar Rapids, Iowa for ya.
Edit: Just checked the weather, this Saturday it is going to be a cool 65 degrees, thank god.
It's been nothing but rain for about the last two weeks here but thats how Oregon is.
Similar here in Washington State though we have had a day or two of sun and a few degrees above 60. I love Autumn; fishing for salmon and steelhead, cool and damp days, boatload of fresh produce, college football, Halloween, 4 day Thanksgiving break, and watching my back for psyhco killers. Just an awesome time of year!
A Washingtonian here too. Rain, cold, windy, and gloomy pretty much explains what the weather has been like for most of the past two weeks here. Feels like a typical Fall season to me for Washington, I just wonder what Winter will be like this year.
Hello fellow Washingtonian Link-Hero! Supposed to be another La Nina. So hopefully that means as much snow in the mountains and even more so in the lower areas than last year!
Really it hasnt change that fast in the past 20 years its just that our tools to detect that sort of thing have become better and more accurate thats all. Its no different now than say 50 or even 100 years ago.
global warming science is not based on current temperature measurements but ice core samples and other means that go back tens of thousands of years, and those methods have not changed since the 70's. but even if you were using just current measurements you wouldn't need to look beyond melting glaciers, receding ice sheets and massive extinction rates to know that things are changing.
it's worse than i thought... the jack o'lanters have already rotted from the warmth. ARE YOU HAPPY NOW, GOD?

I know, I should look more into the money behind the Anthropegenic Global Warming agenda scam! Even the private jet flying Al Gore doesn't believe his own lies about Global alarmism while living it up in his $9 million dollar 1.5 acre Montecito oceanfront estate.

Because the underlying message about the global warming 'alarmists' - "we need to look after the planet," is such a bad one.
I will never understand why the global warming deniests don't want to look after the environment. Even if the ocean waters don't rise (try telling that to the people living on the tiny, low lying Pacific Islands that are watching their islands shrink before their eyes), I rather like the idea of being able to breathe clean air, thankyouverymuch.
The whole debate is just another stupid argument for the sake of having an argument. Do you want a healthy environment, or a crappy one? BIG DECISION.
