Ah gah, my pick, vs my prediction. This is a tough one.

God damn it, this is so tough. Both of these sound incredible.

If Celeste has lost to Metroid, I wouldn’t complain. BUT IT LOST A COIN FLIP?!?!? That’s sad.

I will vote Snake Pass, that song I see amazing.

NoteBlock is an amazing musician, I love all of his songs.

Right now the score is tied up. It doesn’t seem right to end things on a coin flip so unless anyone who hasn’t voted yet breaks the tie we might have to call it a tie.

At this point I’m going to go ahead and declare this our first tie! Both songs deserve the recognition and fit the category in different ways.

Thanks to everyone who participated in the tournament, I thought this theme was a pretty fun one.

Do we have a plan for the next theme? If not, one idea I thought of is remixes from the Smash Bros series. It would be a bit different to normal but there's still a huge amount of variety there.

You know if the other David Wise song had been in this position, it would have literally been Retro Studios vs. Retro Studios.

I dunno what we should do after this. The one that comes to mind is boss battles, but part of me wants to separate "boss themes" with "final boss themes".

How about we start from mini/minor boss battle themes.

Like, Ultros and Popple, instead of Volvagia and King Boo.

If we’re to do mini boss themes, would battle themes (like Mario & Luigi) count?

I guess if they're used in their game for a mini boss battle, then it would count

I'm just not sure there'd be much interest from people to specifically find enough music specifically used for mini bosses that people would easily agree are different from the major bosses in said games. Whereas "not the final boss/bosses" is usually an easier line to define. And honestly, the Popple battles don't feel any less significant than any other in that game, outside of Cackletta.
