Topic: The NintendoLife VGM Tournament: Best City / Urban Theme (Round Two)

Hello all, Back in the day when I was active on the forums I ran a tournament where the community would vote on the best videogame music. It’s been a few years since I stopped so I’m not sure if there’s anyone still around that remembers, but with all the free time at my disposal I thought I’d try reviving the idea. If people are interested then we can decide on a theme and start nominating tracks. More so than deciding a definitive “best” song, I think this is just a fun way to appreciate and discover new music from games you may not have played. As far as the format is concerned, once we decide on a theme (music from a particular series, boss themes, music from water levels/areas, etc.), each person will be allowed to nominate whatever songs they think fit the best. I will then enter them all in a randomized bracket and post polls so we can vote which songs move on to the next round until we have a winner. If you have any questions or ideas feel free to share! Minibosses could be an interesting category but I agree it would be a bit difficult to define and think of miniboss themes specifically. You Will Know Our Names from Xenoblade is the first one that comes to mind and I'm not sure any other song would have a chance against that one.

Almost missed this in the E3 madness but I'd be happy to do beach themes, that seems most appropriate at this time of year.
