Sounds like Level Select / Map themes is still popular so I’ll open up nominations for that theme. There should be a good variety, I’m looking forward to seeing what songs get in!

Heck yeah, let me think for some of these:

I think trying to draw the line between overworld and level select is gonna make this mildly difficult. I think Diddy Kong Racing would count regardless, because you just drive in a small area to select your level. But it more obviously counts because you can just choose to race a level with this same music in a normal level select menu anyway.

@kkslider5552000 Yeh, I had a thought too. On top of Overworld themes, there's also Character Select themes from Fighting and Racing games, which I think are in the same vein as Level Select themes.

@ThePirateCaptain Would Character Select themes count? They usually share the same song with Level Select themes. I know I'm the one who suggested the Map/Level Select, but should we be strict about this? Or maybe alter the theme to Overworld & Level/Character Select?

Hades is a nice progressive escape from the ever-present electronica in game music.

Binding of isaac also has a few well composed level musics.

If it’s something like fighting games then I think the character select is functionally like a level select. Since not every game has a level select, any menu themes that serve a similar purpose or are fairly close I don’t mind including.

This one might be a bit of a stretch, but it plays when you select a mini game, so I hope it’s allowed.
