I used to post comments back in the Wii days, but now I’ve pre-ordered Switch 2 console Mario Kart bundle and pro controller 2. Since 2015, I’ve been gaming on an Xbox One and now an Xbox Series X and S anyway I’m really excited to be get back to some first party Nintendo goodness.
I want to find the appropriate place to have a bit of a moan about the economics of the Switch/2 and Nintendo’s reluctance to make a really good Dpad.
I guess it stems from developing carpal tunnel in both hands and finding the Switch device too difficult to use in portable mode for more than about 15 or 20 minutes.
I have seen there are many aftermarket parts like the nitro deck but I guess I didn’t want to return to the Wii days of having a box full of accessories. I’ve also seen the silicon like grip solutions but docking it would require removing one of them quite often.
I just don’t understand. Nintendo‘s reluctance to make a great D pad again.
@Satans_Therapist welcome! To complain about things, feel free to search for the appropriate thread or create your own if you can't find one. I did hear the d-pad on the Switch 2 pro controller is supposed to be significantly more accurate than the Switch 1 d-pad, but I suppose that doesn't help in portable mode.
Thanks for the welcome. I will have a dig about forum and try to get used to it. I just don’t want to create a new thread if it’s already been covered by someone.

HI! I joined earlier this month, I didn't see the thread until now. My hype for switch 2 is EXTREME, and I love open-world games. Super Mario Party is my least favorite game.
Hello, new to the forum! I’m a big Nintendo fan Switch is my main console, but I also collect N64 games. Currently replaying Animal Crossing and Metroid Dread.
@SilentCheckpoint
Welcome! I hope that you will enjoy it here. I want to collect Nintendo 64 games too. Lylat Wars is probably the next game on my list.
Hello, everyone! My username’s Peter Tomlan. But you may call me simply Peter here if you want.
For anyone curious to learn a little more about me, you can check my profile. The link to my site gives a good description of me, and covers most of who I am. I hope to get back to writing on my website soon and would be happy to finally do so.
I also wish to have fun talking about my favorite franchises along with making a few pals along the way that have the same interests as me!
My favorite franchises are Super Mario, Pokemon, and now Golden Sun from playing the GBA games on NSO. (I've also played Dark Dawn, and it's gonna be 15 years old this year!)
I'll leave the fourms for now, as I have things I have to do right now. But everyone feel free to say hi to me and comment to my post. I'll be sure read every reply. Bye and see you until next time!

@FishyS Hopefully they make a d-pad Joy-Con 2 with the pro controller d-pad 😉

@FishyS Thank you for the greeting. Nice to meet you too!
I have a little bit of hope in me that it'll come back someday because Nintendo cares more about their IPs than other modern companies nowadays. Pikmin's a good example of that if you know about its sales history.
If you're aware of the Emily Roger's rumor about Nintendo wanting to bring back GS, and if it's to be taken seriously, I'm afraid if a new entry were to be made it wouldn't be developed by Camelot. Which would be a bummer because I believe they were the geniuses behind what I loved about the three games. Though I also think if the Mario sport titles don't do well reception wise and/or run out of ideas, I'm not sure what we'll get next. Maybe something completely new!
One thing very interesting! is that it's been four years since the company released Mario Golf: Super Rush on the Switch. What are they developing right now?..

Heeeeeeelo there lovely peeeeeeople! Just thought I'd quote Alex for kicks and giggles. Just made an account after over two years of lurking around (I started lurking during the trailer cycle for ToTK back in March 2023, actually). You can check my profile for more info about me. This is my first time commenting on a forum, and I hope to have fun talking to people here!

@FishyS, thank you so much! This will be very helpful, since I kinda forget things easily. I just made a tab out of it for later usage. You're one of the accounts I actually recognize from my lurking, since you comment so often.

Also, for some reason, I'm unable to select a profile picture for the website so far. I have an image in mind (it does fit the 2000×2000 image size limit), but when I select the image, it doesn't go through, or something like that. I've been using my smartphone so far, but would that process be easier on my computer?
