Topic: The Newbie Introductions Thread

Howdy all,

So just got back into Nintendo handhelds with the release of Pokemon Yellow 2DS bundle. (Pokemon has brought me back) Haven't owned a handheld since my Gameboy and looking forward to getting back into handheld gaming. Going to start looking into back catalogs of DS & 3DS games to get me started but for now Pokemon Yellow is enough.

Hey everyone! My name is TeejHero. I've loved the site for awhile and have actually had some of my content and art shared on instagram by the Nintendo Life team. I am a newer video editor on youtube and do a show called From Worst to Best (with one released yesterday on Wind Waker!) and various Top 10s and game play videos. I have a habit of working on a lot of Nintendo games from a personal preference and nostalgia, so I look forward to be able to talk to a more nintendo focused fanbase.

I am excited to be able to get in touch with a broader and more specific gaming community! It's nice to meet all of you!

Hey guys,
I'm new here, and I'm not entirely sure the in's and out's of forums and this site in particular. I only registered on a whim and as my username suggests, I should be studying since exam's just around the corner. I have a really long break afterwards which I plan to purchase a 3DS and indulge myself with it's offerings. I'm mainly a playstation gamer and I occasionally play on PC. My first console was the GBA and it's been quite a while since I've touch a nitendo console. I was hoping some of you guys could soften the blow of forking over 200$ for the 3DS by convincing me of my purchase. I dislike most well known nitendo exclusives (mario,zelda) except pokemon. At this point in time, I've been eyeing Monster Hunter 4U being a fan of MHFU on the psp clocking around 400 hours on my primary save. Might be getting smash brothers just for my favorite character - cloud strife and possibly a pokemon game somewhere down the line.Looking forward to be a part of the nitendo family again and hopefully settle on a good community of gamers that respect each other's opinions and not bash their console of choice.

Hey, everyone. My name is Graham and I’m from South Africa. I registered a while ago and haven't posted in years.

Like many, I got into video games with the NES-era… well we had some sort of knock-off Famicom system that looked like a SEGA MegaDrive. Since then I’ve had a few Nintendo system, but sold most of them due to financial reasons at the time, or stupidity on my part.

I recently got my hands on the New 3DS, which I’m loving to bits. My fiancé tends to hog it, so we’ll be looking at a system for her in a few months’ time. Other than that I also play PS3 and Xbox One.

By day I’m a startup / tech / video games journalist for a family of online publications, and by night I write fiction or have my life drained away by work.

I'm looking forward to checking out more of the forums and making some friends.

Hello. I've been following NintendoLife's RSS feed for a long time now and you may have noticed me comment on some of the news posts before. I haven't really touched the forums before though.

I've been playing video games since I was four (or so I've heard, I don't really have any memories from that time) and I still remember the old Commodore mouse. My first proper gaming memories are from the time my parents got me and my sister a SNES.

As my avatar might suggest, I really love the Ace Attorney and Professor Layton games but I also enjoy Zelda, Metroid, Kid Icarus and some other classic franchises.

I'm also an admin on a mafia game forum and have been playing forum mafia for about seven years now.

I kept track of this site for as long as I had my Wii U last year, and I thought I'd be nice to finally be social and cooperative with everyone as best as possible.

Though I was previously Playstation only as a kid and through my teen years, it wasn't until I had my first job at age 20 and saved money to buy a Wii U and join in on the fun. (Though I do regret spending a BIT too much on everything Wii U related..)

But anywho, I hope I can meet some new friends and such, that and I could use some friends to play, I've been a lone gamer for over two years now, so let's get to work! ^^;
