Yea no one likes being called evil for liking 18+ games. I’m happy for him that he has found niche or certain video games he likes, but when he goes on his rants for liking “popular” things I can’t help to roll my eyes. He likes Animal Crossing and Paw Patrol, not exactly niche or unpopular.

I was blocked fully by Antimatter at some point for whatever reason, so I know he won't be able to see this. However I'd like to say that I wish the guy well. While I never saw eye to eye with on the topic of 18+ games, and didn't really appreciate being told I'm evil for enjoying them- Anti-Matter was still a member and staple of the community. It'll feel a lot more empty around here due to them leaving, and its sad to see one of the more active posters outright leave.

@Anti-Matter I'd say a bit more, but I'm visiting my brother, only have my tablet, but forgot my bluetooth keyboard to type with. I suck at touchscreen typing.

There's times I post and don't get responses. It can be often, but I know not everything gets scene by everyone, or not everything will tickle their interest, sometimes it's lucky or unlucky timing. I only expect 30-50% of posts to get responses if I don't tag anyone.

I also hope that you reconsider deleting your account. It doesn't seem a necessary action and seven years is a big investment to just flick a switch on, even if it is just the idle gaming chit-chat that mostly goes on here.

You've said you're leaving a number of times in this thread and I've always been pleased to see you change your mind and return. Why not just log out and give it a few months and see how things go?

I'd like to think you'll come back one day, maybe with some new examples of your fantastic artwork, and a new gaming series to rave about. I've wanted to be able to talk more about Yo-kai Watch with you, but I've still not got round to playing enough of them. Maybe one day, huh?

One of the cool things about the Internet, and this Nintendo Life community in particular, is that we've got representatives from all over the world here - it's surely the most diverse set of people with a common interest I've ever had the pleasure to interact with. If you go, I'm not sure how many Indonesian teaching assistant, chibi-kickboxer-obsessed, DDR-specialist, Animal Crossing enthusiasts there are to take your place 😆. And a poorer place this site will be.

@Anti-Matter While I heavily disagree on your takes about 18+ games or any mature games being bad, it’s still unfortunate to see you go.

Hey everyone.

I've spoken with Anti-Matter and we've both decided not to delete the account, there is so much history that Anti-Matter has posted on the site it would be a shame for both him personally, and Nintendo Life for that to simply get erased from history.

However, Anti-Matter's account is now in hibernation and won't receive notifications going forward, unless he decides to come back one day.

We wish him all the best for the future and hope he enjoys his time away from the website.

As someone who has been running this site for over 18 years, I know how entangled things can become with your daily life, and we all need a break sometimes!

Thanks also to everyone who left Anti-Matter a message of support after his decision.

Hey folks. Someone very close to me unfortunately passed away today so I'm going to be very quiet around here for the next couple days or so. I'll still most likely be around under any Apollo Justice articles as reviews/news for it start trickling out over the rest of this week but overall I'm probably going to be pretty inactive all things considered. @Fizza Understandable, my condolences. Lost my father to cancer on December and I've been doing the same thing. Take your time and search support in the people that care about you. At your own pace and when you are ready, of course.
