The Weeping Angels are an ancient alien race that are in the form of the angel-statues. There is speculation that they are decended/spawned from the two Time Lords who stood against the Timothy Dalton-led return of Galifrey (as shown in the 10th Doctor's finale, "The End of Time"). I think that's unlikely since Timothy Dalton's character (his name escapes me...) says those two Time Lords would "stand as monuments to their shame, like the Weeping Angels of old".
Okay, thanks guys that helps to clear things up a bit on the Weeping Angels.
One thing that I really hope for is that when series five does approach it's final season that Amy Pond will choose to remain with Doctor Who Eleven instead of marrying someone else (Rory) and I'm sure that can be done just like in the 'I Dream of Jeannie' series Jeannie and Major Nelson choose one another over everything else and this in turn could open things up to the introduction of a whole new time lord (Doctor Who) that viewers never knew existed. Of course, the aforementioned things would have to take place in an alternate reality in order that veteran DW fans not be offended or displeased just like in the new Star Trek alternate universe that Abrams is using. Perhaps, there could even be a spin-off Doctor Who series about a teenage time lord who is coming of age (ala Merlin, Harry Potter).

Does anyone know just WHAT is going on with Doctor River song? Is she good or bad? She acts like she's part Sarah Palin/Han Solo and Black Widow. One minute she's a good rogue Palin/Han Solo and then at another turn she is like Black Widow/Carmen Sandiego type of person. What's going on and when will Doctor Who steer clear of her?

River's not really "evil". It's almost in a sense that she's like The Doctor himself, in that sometimes she has to sit back and let events play out, even if she knows bad things will happen, and sometimes she might even have to do bad to save the universe. Amy hasn't been playing the time-travelling game for as long, so she doesn't really understand this point of view. Yet.
Originally, i was thinking that "the man she killed" (the supposed reason that she was originally in prison) was/will be The Doctor, in some future point in time (from his persepctive). I think that might still be possible — that since she and The Doctor are essentially travelling in opposite directions in time, it may turn out that a younger River kills The Doctor, while "our" River knows that it will/did happen.

Yeah, Day of the Moon was great. It's set up a lot for the coming season, not the least of which is obviously the regenerating little girl-Time Lord (apparently?). Was/is she some future timeline child of RIver and The Doctor? Of Amy and The Doctor? Something else entirely? Great start to the season.

Yeah, Rassilon references the "Weeping Angels of Old" but even the Time Lords don't know wtf they are as the Doctor states they "Are older then the Universe...or close to it".

@TokyoRed: You just have to watch SJA as they have the best villians at the end in every series I've watched, The Trickster's Brigade...although they are more effective with Donna Noble in the "Turn Left" episode. (despite not being seen in the main series)
I really enjoyed 'Day of The Moon'. The ending was completely epic. I loved the battle duel between Rory, the Silence, Doctor Who and River Song. When the little girl walked out said 'I'm dieing but I can fix that' and began healing herself you 'll never know how much I was amazed. I'm still trying to resolve it though. Was she the little girl trapped in the Space Suit? Is she actually Doctor Who's daughter? Because if she is things are just getting kicked into high gear.

Man! Why doesn't the Doctor go and search for his daughter? Does he know something Amy does not know? Is that why he said 'After all I've got a feeling she will find us?' Is the girl going to figure out how to time travel? She doesn't have a Tardis or will she figure out how to teleport and warp about like River Song?
