@Pastellioli Thanks for the holiday wishes, and same to you!
Yeah. I mostly think of cringe moments like, the random character summoned deciding, instead of showing confusion, to advertise themselves. Not as bad as Engage in that regard, but still..
I like Ratatoskr. Straight up. Book 9 ended up being epic. Grinding sucks.
The bloat was largely just time spent in the hub. Doing things between missions got boring.
Shame about switch being inactive. If you ever get active again, lemme know!
@Mariotag one kind of cringy moment I remember was in Book 7 where when the main group is relaxing from their adventure, Seiðr talks to the Summoner about having a child? I don’t know what the point of that scene was, but I found it really weird, despite the explanation Seiðr gives immediately after saying it out of the blue.
Yes, Book 8 was maybe one of my favorites so far, alongside Book 9. I like the myth of Yggdrasil in Norse mythology, so I liked how FEH interpreted it. I like the Books more if they have stakes or more serious moments. Book 9 was definitely that, especially since it pertained to the creation of the realms and leads to Ragnarok.
With that one game I was playing in particular, grinding became awful over time. It’s possible to defeat all bosses and stronger players without all upgrades, but you’ll struggle way more if you don’t grind or pay money to buy all upgrades and weapons. Dropped it after the microtransactions ruined it and failing a boss battle even after grinding for upgrades. Near impossible to get good upgrades, weapons, or good health kits as a non-paying player!
I see. Usually, when I play games, I really prefer to move on in the story fast and almost instantly. I tend to not really like having to do extra missions or quests in-between.

Christmas was good, got some Trolls books as a gift, and Sonic Racing CrossWorlds. Spent time with mom, watched Christmas Vacation, Christmas with the Kranks, and Home Alone 3. Christmas eve was great, had some seafood (I'm not big on it, but I do like salmon), watched Trolls Holiday In Harmony, and played some Jagged Alliance 3.
@CaleBoi25 Thanks! Hope your Christmas was good! BTW, quality short.
@D-Star92 Awesome, glad you enjoyed it. Hope it was the full movie, some streaming versions cut out the Pottersville scene that's important to the story. Merry Christmas!
It's been a nice Christmas for me. Some of the gifts I got include a few games (Super Mario Galaxy 1 + 2, Kirby Air Riders, and Metroid Prime 4), eShop credit, Rosalina's storybook, and even a watercolor set.
@Pastellioli Thanks! It was nice for sure, everyone loved the gifts I got them too. Yeah, if I listen to the same music for too long, I would want to listen to other stuff for a change. Good thing we have playlists, lol. On the Nintendo Music app, I made a playlist of music that I think are perfect for Christmastime, and I would have them loop for five minutes before going to the next track. I'd have them on shuffle, too.
@Sunsy Yep I did see the Pottersville scene. I even checked the running time on the blu-ray case and the IMDB page, and they're both identical. Thanks! Those are some nice gifts by the way, glad you had a nice time celebrating.

@Pastellioli I don't recall that from book 7! Most of the ones I remember are characters revering the MC and the like.
Stakes are there, but, they don't have consequences often. I like the animal ppl from book 8. Dunno the original myth of Yggdrasil. Book 9 actually did deliver.
What game? And yeah. Grinding sucks.
Yup. It's kinda like, if you wanna make your characters stronger, get things you need, recruit characters, you need to spend way too much time in the hub.
Engage is worse about it cause the hub has ways to enhance your characters and emblems.
It finally got to me haha. I really am not in the mood for the same five songs I kept repeating, and now I want to listen to new artists and songs! I like the ones I am listening to right now, but I need to discover more before I get tired of the songs I currently have in rotation!
I do have a couple of playlists, but I never really listen to them. I really just like making playlists for others to listen on Spotify, but I think I should make a few for myself. Just don’t know what to theme it around.
@Mariotag It’s the only scene I recall from Book 7, only because of how weird the dialogue was. The time traveling aspect was nice, but that and the strange conversation with Seiðr are the only things I remember the most.
I like animals a lot, so I liked how Ratatoskr and most of her siblings could transform into animals, plus their designs are cool! If you are curious, in mythology, Yggdrasil is a world tree connecting all nine realms via its roots and branches. Various Norse gods gather at the tree daily, but its inhabitants are mainly animals or creatures, such as an eagle and hawk at the top of the tree, elves, dwarves, and several stags. Ratatoskr and Níðhöggr are inhabitants in mythology, former being a messenger who runs up and down the tree to deliver messages between the hawk and Níðhöggr, and the latter is a serpent/dragon who gnaws the tree’s roots.
Was Happy Tree Friends: Deadeye Derby, so not a gacha game. Gameplay was addicting and liked the gyro controls, but grinding sucked so much and diamonds are hard to get without cash. The remaining two upgrades for the vehicle require a ton of diamonds, which you can’t really get unless you complete achievements or boss battles. Matchmaking also got on my nerves. It’s surprisingly fast for a game released a decade ago and has a small playerbase, but I always got matched with users who completed it, have all upgrades, and used premium characters. Most of players clearly spent real money on upgrades and weapons, so it was an annoying experience as a non-paying player. I do want to finish it someday, but it’s so frustrating…

Since you said bbcode wasn’t working apparently, you just have to use image tags. One of the users in the replies said that they use postimages.org for sharing pictures. The format for sharing pictures should look like this:
[ img ]your pic link here[ /img ]
You just have to remove the spaces in the brackets, and it should work. The user also said you can Quote another user’s reply with a picture and you can see the tags they used to do it. Hopefully this is helpful, sorry if it doesn’t work, I haven’t done this before.

@Pastellioli Thanks! I'm playing Super Mario Galaxy currently, and I still love this game. I do want to play Kirby Air Riders this weekend as well. I'd like to toy around with my watercolor set too... hopefully I can make some good pieces from it. I'm excited for my upcoming vacation as well!
Gotcha yeah, that'd be cool. Doesn't hurt to broaden your horizons, you might find a new favorite that way. Ah I see, I normally make playlists of my favorite music/songs, sorted by band/series/etc., if that helps. On the Nintendo Music app, I also made a playlist of relaxing music, with DKC2's Stickerbush Symphony being one of the tracks I put in.
@KidRyan I'll also help out. Here's a picture of Mario that I got from Mario Wiki...
As mentioned before, if you click or tap "Quote," you can see how you can post pictures in your post. Hope this helps.

Book 7 was weird.
Huh. Nidhoggr was possibly a dragon? I'd have liked to see that! The lore is interesting. Am curious if the book 8 characters simply transformed into animals, or if they were animals to begin with.
Never got into Happy Tree Friends. But can understand the frustration of dealing with pay 2 win mechanics.
@Mariotag I didn't play too much of that game yet, but I think there's four modes, one of which being a story mode of sorts. There's a lot of checklist missions for each mode you can do, too. There's quite a few playable characters as well.

used my amazon gift card that i got for christmas and bought the kindle ebook forms of Star Wars Legacy of the Force book 1 Betrayal along with Anne Rice's Prince Lestat.
going to be busy with those two books in January. plus im getting back into the old expanded universe for Star wars by reading all of the Legacy of the Force books and Fate of the Jedi
@D-Star92 Very good! Glad to hear you are enjoying those games a ton. I wonder what pieces you’ll make with watercolor! I find watercolor hard, so I really enjoy seeing what others can achieve using it. I find it easier using watercolor markers.
I am trying to, I actually find social media does help a bit, surprisingly. On Instagram, there is an option to add music to a post or Reel, and I like some of the songs I have heard on there. I actually have Instagram to thank for getting me into Jamiroquai lol, their music is amazing! Ah, thanks for the ideas, those could be helpful. Spotify does have a list consisting of my Liked Songs, but I think I’ll make my own since that list is really long.
@Mariotag Yeah, weird, but I did somewhat like the time traveling aspect of it, even if it is a bit of a cliche trope at this point. Most interpretations of Níðhöggr make it a dragon rather than a serpent, so I agree a dragon form of FEH’s version would have been cool to see, and would fit FE more than the snake-like form they gave her.
One of the few games I’ve played where the mechanics bordered on being pay 2 win. Super awful, but I’d like to defeat all the bosses at some point, as I’m on the second to last one. I got into the show because I played a few video games based on it. There’s an HTF game on the 360 that I’m curious about, but it isn’t backwards compatible so I can’t play it. However, I bought a shoot em’ up featuring characters from the show and I liked the gameplay and game show setting, so I watched most of the show out of curiosity and played Deadeye while binge watching it.
If you are curious about my opinion of it, didn’t think it was super funny and I hated the violence, but liked the character designs, animation, and writing. Plus, the voice cast does a good job in a show mostly lacking in dialogue and consisting solely of gibberish. The range one of the voice actors in the earlier seasons had with going from a squeaky high-pitched voice to a deeper one for two of the characters he voiced was very impressive.
A random fun fact related to that, did you know Sega hired two HTF writers to write a majority of the 2010s Sonic games? Thought that was interesting.
@KidRyan Nice to hear it worked! Wasn’t sure since I’ve never used image tags.

Yo, I have replied your message on Deviantart.
I put my gaming status as Offline on my PS4 / PS5 but I turned into Online status yesterday.
I never played Online on my PS4 / PS5 as I didn't subscribe for $60 PS+.
