People on the last page were saying something about not having much to talk about on this thread lately, so I've got a conversation starter: what did y'all have for lunch today (or did you skip lunch)?
I'll start: I had oven cooked frozen corn dogs, and grapes, and for my beverage I had sweet tea. For lunchtime TV, I watched an episode of an anime called Hayate the Combat Butler.
My top 5 favorite games:

2: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
3: Animal Crossing New Horizons
4: Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope
5: The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
@CaleBoi25 I write a lot of my responses essay-like haha, sorry! I ramble a ton when I talk on here and I usually like describing stuff, though I message way less because I don’t really have anything to say and can’t really join in on Switch 2 conversations. Maybe I’ll just need to shorten my responses and make them snappy…

@Pastellioli I totally forgot to send you my watercolor art lol! I could only find these two, they are a sushi platter and a cuttlefish, respectively. I entered both in a contest - the Sushi placed fifth! Sadly, my Cuttlefish didn't care so well; the competition was much steeper that year.

@CaleBoi25 They are pretty good! I’m pretty terrible at watercolor compared to dry material, you did a fantastic job! I really like the coloring on the chopsticks in the sushi painting, it also kind of looks like there’s lighting on it, especially the red parts of the chopsticks, and I also like how the darker orange stripes on the cuttlefish pop on top of the lighter orange! Again, really good paintings!

@Pastellioli I did read your whole reply, but I couldn't really add to some things from your last post. Plus I got a bit burnt out from those longer replies I did in this thread, lol... so I kind of want to make my posts short and sweet. You didn't do anything wrong, just so you know.
Yep, roller coasters are incredibly fast for sure. I do get the appeal of them, I do know someone on the Nintendo Life community who enjoys them actually, they're just not for me. That's cool, I've finished Dark Moon on the 3DS years ago and I do remember liking it. Out of all the classic game apps on NSO, I've played the SNES, N64, and GBA the most.
@JaxonH Late reply, but I love those pics you took! Thanks for sharing with us.
@CaleBoi25 Great watercolor pics! I like the shadows you've done on the sushi one.

They aren't for me either, friend 😉. I've only ever ridden ones that are classified as "kiddy" at Disney World and Cedar Point, and not often either. This is literally me when I'm riding a kiddy coaster:
Video games over roller coasters any day of the week.
Also, @CaleBoi25, I love those pictures you made too. I couldn't draw something like that to save my life 😅.

@Nep-Nep-Freak Yeah, I've been on a full-fledged wooden roller coaster when I was 7 or 8, and I hated it. It turned me away from amusement parks for the longest time, actually. I don't mind visiting them now, I just can't go on anything too extreme since I'm very sensitive to speed and heights.

@D-Star92 I’ll just kept my replies here shorter then, already had a feeling they were too long! If I am being honest, I also am getting burnt out from reading and typing long replies as well…I’ll just drop some of the topics I mentioned in my last reply and only reply to a few.
Yeah, I do get why roller coasters are appealing, it’s exciting to go at such a fast speed, but I honestly wouldn’t ever wanna ride one. If I remember, isn’t there some park ride where you sit strapped onto this seat that goes high and then drops down? I also am kind of afraid of those too like roller coasters.
Yeah, it’s been a while since I played Dark Moon (or any 3DS game really) but I really liked that one. I played the SNES and N64 games the most on NSO. Can’t really remember what my most played titles were, but I recall the Donkey Kong Country games being my most played on the SNES. Banjo-Kazooie was my most played on the N64 app, unsurprisingly!

Also, @/NepNep, Have you ever heard about the "conspiracy" about the screaming sheep? 👀 Basically, it's a goat, not a sheep, and it's a royalty-free sound effect layered on top! The more you know, and all that.
@Pastellioli All righty. Yeah... I don't think I want to go on one again, lol. I kind of regret going on one at such a young age... really wish I hadn't thought of going on that ride and went on something else instead. I know it was years ago, but I'm still upset about that to this day. It turned me away from theme parks back then. I know what kind of ride you're talking about, those tower rides. Knoebels, a park that I visited, has one. I didn't go on one because of how scary they look to me.
Gotcha, I played the DKC games quite a lot on NSO as well... same with the Mario games of course. If I recall correctly, Super Mario 64 was my most played N64 game on NSO. I'm thinking of playing through Paper Mario as well... it's been ages since I last played it.
@CaleBoi25 You're welcome. I'll let you folks know when I do get a watercolor set... hopefully I'll make a good piece from it!

I watched that Jaiden Animation video about how modern tech and the like has become too obnoxious and its made me think. Among my family, I think I'm considered the most tech knowledgeable person, but while that's true, I'm also disinterested in most newer tech. I only got a smart phone out of necessity, eventually, I don't get into streaming services most times, I don't pay attention to the newest tech too often outside of gaming (and even there I'm increasingly avoiding buying new systems or games). I don't know what new tech I'd even need or especially want anymore, and with the way every other trend seems like a giant scam nowadays, I feel that's barely even subjective, I'm just correct.
A lot of its also just like now that I have money earned and to worry about, I don't wanna spend it most times. I will hoard my "wealth" like a dragon, especially since I do not trust anything will be affordable for most people in the relative near future.
