@konicstar Oh, nice! My brother and I just started it a few days ago, so we will probably finish it up soon! @OctolingKing13 I got the Companion Collection about 6 months ago, when it was on sale. That's when I first played the series, and I adored the first one! The second is better, I think, due to it being longer and having more characters--plus a deeper story. But the first is an amazing game still!
@Jhena VC's soundtrack is one of the reasons some people like 80s music. Which was also so full of wonder. One of the things I will miss, apart from people having hope and dreams, was that spark you felt when you found something that was done with care and effort. Nowadays this spark is scarce.
In RDR2, doesn't it show how difficult it is to escape the vicious cycle of hatred and cruelty? I think that would partially be the message. And well, missions are just a way to push the story forward, so it is not really much different than reading a violent book, is it?
Well, in the biological sense we are all animals. Everything we do is to some degree influenced by it. People do not hate otherness for no reason, it is an evolutionary trait that kept the packs of humans alive. It's just that the more we know that, the more we can control it
Bring me the sesame, miso, citrus and pepper flavored fish cakes
@OctolingKing13 Sorry for the late reply, but the first one is great. A much shorter experience from what I've heard (it's 4 hours long), but it's still really fun and has a great atmosphere. GLaDOS is great in that game. What also helps is the "still alive" levels added in some version of the game (like Companion Collection), though the lack of GLaDOS dialogue threw me off at first. Still a great addition to that game.

I usually just listen to videogame music. Thankfully there is still a lot of good music.
Nah, it was all forced misery for the sake of being dark. I know shaking bad habits is not easy but this was just ridiculous. There is a big difference between games and books. In a game, I am the one pressing the buttons and doing the actions, while books are completely passive. This does not mean, that I prefer dark books. I read War and Peace. A great book, but not what I should be reading. I want to enjoy hopeful and inspirational stuff, which motivates me and gives me strength.
We can do what animals do, but no one is forcing us.
Just watched the new Snow White on Disney+. It was fine, aside from the somewhat random new songs, I didn’t hate it.
It did left me with a bit of a big plot hole though… In the original movie, the Evil Queen uses the poison apple fully knowing there was a cure for it- because she was so neglectful and ignorant of Snow White’s life that she assumed nobody could exist that loved her, so it was no biggie.
In this one she is very aware that she has a group of people who care deeply for her, and has a guy who is very much in literal love with her. And she kind of just ignores the fact the curse has a very achievable and easy cure.
She is clearly capable and willing to just shank her, but she still decides to go with the ironic non-lethal option. So the Evil Queen is a bit bad at the whole being evil thing this one.
@Eel
Is that the new Snow White = live action 2025 version?
It was really bad from the storyline structure.
It got changed here and there just for a sake of being changed for no reason.
And after Snow White get revived by the kiss, she returned to the castle with red hood like little red riding Hood and walked like a Boss, followed by the villagers with mission to dismiss the Evil Queen from the castle.
It looked cringey and stupid at the same time.
Oh, also...
The original story of Snow White, the Evil Queen attempted for murder trials for 3 times, not 1 time on Disney version.
First, she disguised as ribbon seller old lady and suffocating Snow White with very tight ribbon on her rib.
Second, she disguised as comb seller old lady and poisoned Snow White with poisonous comb.
Third, she used poisonous apple to kill Snow White.
And it didn't have first love kiss antidote.
The prince didn't even kiss the Snow White, he just offered a help to seven dwarves to bring the glass coffin to the graveyard until suddenly the coffin got shaken accidentally by the seven dwarves trip and it made Snow White spited out a bite of poisonous apple from her mouth and suddenly she back to alive.
I listen to a lot of video game music as well, which is why I've used Nintendo Music so often since it's launch day 😃.

I really love Video Game music. I practically use Spotify only for Sonic. I've also used a lot of Nintendo Music since launch day, and I really am hoping there will be a Mario Kart World Playlist added soon!
I really need that Sonic Heroes Remake and the new 3D Mario.
@Pastellioli I can't handle most phone ports. :/ Tried Sonic once on it, did not go well. And I dislike having to remove stuff.
Now that you mention it, yeah. Bsky kinda took over enough that it isn't talked about anymore ig?
Most of the ppl I followed who would be inclined to switch platforms have already done so.
Yeah. I'm glad I finally asked! In a sense, I'd seen it as mine, in similar fashion to how when someone commissions a piece, it might be theirs. But I'm glad that person appreciated the notion! When I save art, I generally just save it. If I share it, it's an OG link.
This is the era of information. At the same time as we have ppl manipulating it far too easily, we also have groups like Google and Microsoft stealing it, and in Google's case, being sued over it. Microsoft Edge apparently takes a screenshot of whatever you have up every 10 seconds or so... It's how some companies stay funded now. I hate it. I can't trust most of it. It applies to way too much. And as with anything that isn't restrained in some way, has become corrupt...
I'm genuinely surprised that NL was able to remove a block function! It was a huge deal when Twitter downgraded theirs, with mobile providers stating it actually broke some law to not have it.
As for my impressions on the functionality itself...yea. It has uses, but also misuses. And the line between them can be blurred. As someone with OCD, where the O an C can be quite literal, I've made more than a few ppl uncomfy. And they generally do press the button, whether I know why or not.
But respect where it's due to those who speak up.
I'm still peeved about that former friend who blocked me over no conceivable reason. Tho, someone stated he may have thought my attempts to communicate, and ultimately hang out, were an aggressive attempt at a romantic relationship? Like, I can see why someone would stay quiet about that, but as a result, it created a massive misunderstanding that just made it worse for both of us. Now I hear he's moving away. Kinda ticked. Technically proper use, but also should not have been a thing. It's simply how I am with some ppl.
Ye. It's more like I'm too stressed by the time I'm looking? Too much I'm sifting through. But as someone who dislikes feeling ignored, I naturally feel bad about making ppl wait. As for that other issue...I still have it pop into my mind consistently. "What do I contribute to those around me, vs what burden I place?" Ultimately, whether I'm a parasite or not comes down to that. And I tend to think I m one.
@Mana_Knight
Hehe, Secet of Mana friends are always welcome. Did you play Visions of Mana? If yes, did you like it?
@Mariotag
I tried to find them a while ago but I couldn't. But I will try again. If I find them, I will post them in the "what are you listening"-thread.
@Jhena I don't have a playstation and not a fan of playing games on Steam/PC. I made an exception for the SOM remake as was my only option. I am keeping my fingers crossed that a Switch 2 version might happen for VOM! 🤞
@Jhena I agree. So hope so. For me, it will always be more a Nintendo thing because of the original trilogy being born there and every game there after taking all thematic/world lore elements from these three. Switch is the one with The Collection of Mana game, after all!
I remember it didn’t perform well in sales, I think it was in the top 40 sales numbers article on Nintendo Life for just one week. I looked for it the following week, but it disappeared so fast and never came again. I feel like it would sell much better on the Switch 2.
Square Enix games are usually pretty awesome from what I've played, seen, and heard, so I hope Visions of Mana does get a Switch 2 release in the future.
