@EllaTheQueen6 it was more of an extended demo to be honest. If you really really liked the game, then you’d try to coax mama or papa to get it for you for Christmas or something!
Later, in the era of the memory card, you didn’t have to worry about the save files. But even for older longer games you could sometimes get lucky and the other renters might respect your save file. Otherwise, starting over wasn’t that big of a deal back then.
@Eel Oh, that kinda makes sense. And yeah, it must've been nice when they respected your save file. Mayeb that's why games have the ability to have like 200 save files for seemingly no reaosn.

@EllaTheQueen6 I see. It's good reason to find that game. I like to add mor games to my PS2 library.
Musashi kinda rare game. This is how it looks and plays.
GOIDA!

@EllaTheQueen6 I think you can find it in local stores for good price. The cheapest option on Ebay around 13$.
Yep, it's fun and looks nice. I played it a little.

@Princess_Lilly None that I know of, no. Shows like Digital Circus, SMG4 and Murder Drones aren’t for the preschool crowd (and me, I find myself more interested in shows rated TV-Y rather than TV-MA like other adults my age)
Oh wow, your power outage was what caused your small tree to light up, huh? That's something to wrap your head around, lol. It did sound useful though, yeah.
Yeah - I like having that Mario Party profile pic on each birthday that I have, the one that takes place in Peach's Birthday Cake. I just changed my pic back to good ol' Fire Mario. The Peach profile picture I had was of her jumping in one of the snowy levels in Super Mario Bros. Wonder. I made that with NSO's icon creator. Oh ok, I don't think I signed up for any Sega email newsletters.
It was pretty late... that's what happens if you were born at a time when Nintendo started having serious competition with Sega, lol. And being in a strictly Nintendo household. Funnily enough, I've never even heard of Adventures of Sonic until much later. It's cool you got to see it before school, I used to watch Sonic X every Saturday when it first came out. Oh that's cool, are those on one of the free Roku channels? We do have Roku devices, one in the living room and the other in my game room, but only pay for stuff like Netflix and Disney+.
Yeah, Disney has made some nice quality merch, like the Anna and Belle plushies that I have. Oh, that reminds me! Last Christmas season, I got plushes of Mickey and Minnie in their Christmas outfits. They were from Disney's online store, I can take a picture of them if you want. They're really nice.
Nice, that's cool. I'm literally like that as well, I've always played the later Fire Emblem games in casual mode, just to make things not as stressful on me. Only exception I made was when playing one of the GBA FE games since it didn't have a casual option. I played it on the GBA app on NSO, it was the first Fire Emblem game that had an international release.
Ok great to know, thanks! So they're sort of connected, but can still be watched on their own so you're not totally lost. It was fun playing Super Mario 3D World with you... honestly, I'd count our session as one of my birthday presents! So thanks for my present!
No, what happened was the power was out one night, and popping batteries into my small tree help lit the room one winter. It came in handy when that happened.
Nice, sounds like my kind of Peach icon. Yeah, I've been signed up for some time with Sega's e-mails. Mostly for game updates and news. Even though I can get that here too.
I can see that, competition was fierce with Sega and Nintendo back then. Yeah, if I remember, it just aired on the local TV channel before school and that's when I watched it. SatAM was easy to watch, it was on ABC every Saturday morning. Cool, I was very late to Sonic X. Yeah it is the free channel. It amazes me what live channels Roku has for free, there's even a 24/7 Strawberry Shortcake channel, that actually exists. Yeah, you have a Roku, go check it out, they have a Sonic and Mario channel showing that show the classic cartoons 24/7. We mainly have Netflix and Peacock, we use to have Hulu and Disney+ bundled, but that's on hold because we choose to use a prepaid card for those two.
If you want to, they do sound like cute plushies.
Yeah, permadeath just doesn't appeal to me, so I play XCOM and Jagged Alliance by saving and loading to try different strategies. The only Fire Emblem I got was the original, so you know what that's like.... I gave up after one of my units died, lol. Though, I kind of hoped buying it would encourage Nintendo to translate other Japanese only games.
Yup, you can enjoy any Trolls movie as a standalone movie, the one ongoing theme is the relationship of Poppy and Branch. That is consistent between the three movies. (Trolls Band Together spoiler) I can say, a big moment in Trolls Band Together, made that aspect of Trolls worth it. Aww, you're welcome. It was very fun.
@Sunsy Nah, I get it. It's usually easier to find more stuff online. Especially in an area like mine where there aren't quite as many geek or pop culture-centric retail options (I'd love something like a Hot Topic).
I'd like to try making my own onigiri, but I'm not sure where I'd easily find nori around here. Rice is at least easy lol. While I do make a lot of my meals, it's just me; I don't get extravagant usually. Partially due to the time and dishes involved if I get fancy. I usually bake, boil, or microwave things. I have a portable electric grill but hate using/cleaning it. I do pan fry stuff, but that's very rare.
Wow, I haven't been to a Hot Topic in years. Last time I went there was I think 2019. Last time I ordered anything from them online, was a Princess Peach shirt.
I think I get nori at my local supermarket, usually the Asian food aisle. Been awhile since I've bought it too. Sounds simple enough. Most nights, I don't get fancy with meals either. Though, I do like plating dinner nicely, lol.
@Sunsy I haven't been to a Hot Topic in years either. To my knowledge, the chain is still operating. I wanted to order a special Jack Skellington candle through them a little while ago, but it was pickup only and out of stock at the nearest (which is still somewhat far) location. I'm pretty much stuck with GameStop for limited local options. Though once in awhile Walmart has something useful.
I've checked for nori, but sadly the only store that would probably have it (also Walmart) doesn't seem to have any...at least not in the Asian food aisle. There is a local supermarket I can try, but I don't go there often since they can be sort of expensive. They do sell sushi made daily, so maybe they have some around elsewhere....
