So I went to Pawn America to find some more cheap PS3 and PS4 games so I can squeeze out more trophies, and I'm seeing a lot of copies of "Battlefield 1" and "Uncharted 4", are they really THAT bad?
Once again, clicking a notification, brought me to the last page of the thread. So I had to dig around for the messages to respond to. Tagging @antdickens again, in event of bug, or I'm guessing someone deleted a lot of posts or something.
@Sunsy I still own some Pokemon merch and play the games, though I'm a bit behind when it comes to game releases since my time is finite and The Pokemon Company likes sticking to a short release schedule...to the newer titles' detriment. I just started Pokemon Legends: Arceus over the weekend and really like it so far, even if the pop-in is a bit annoying at times. I did try getting back into the card game, but it's an investment (and a bit hard to get good cards around here since the local card shop closed....I don't trust ordering online).
I love most forms of seafood, so I'd be more than happy to make it more of a tradition...but not a lot of my family is on board with that. Some things like grilled or fried fish are fine, but I'm an outlier when it comes to less bland things like, peppered fish, scallops, and sushi and its relations.
I think I have an old Poliwhirl plush and puzzle from when I was younger. I think I have a shirt, albeit a more modern shirt as one of the squares has Fenniken in it. Speaking of, I do have a few modern Pokemon plush of Pikachu, Dedenne, and Fenniken. Glad you like Pokemon Legends Arceus.
Nice, personally I'm not into seafood, though I will eat salmon, tuna, and cod. My mom loves seafood though. Funnily enough, I'm cooking salmon tonight.
@Sunsy I actually finished Super Mario RPG not too long ago! Good to hear you're making good use of your little tree before the batteries go. We both pretty much made the most out of our batteries, except with totally different things.
I remember that. Always had my boy Mario as my profile picture here at Nintendo Life... except that one time when I had Peach instead! I've had both Mario and Peach in certain profile pictures of mine, too. All righty gotcha, that's cool they added the modern dress for Amy. I'm guessing it was part of a free update?
I think I remember that too, except that was from the more "official" review sites, for lack of a better word. I don't remember if that's the case... it's been years since I last touched the Wii version and I think I only played it once or twice. That's cool on Sonic Boom. Actually, I had a similar experience with not seeing Sonic SatAM during its heyday, though we rented a couple VHS tapes at Blockbuster or Hollywood Video (don't remember which) back in... I wanna say the late 90s. Sonic SatAM first aired in 1993, and I was only a year old back then.
Yeah, that is sad indeed... my local mall used to have a Disney store as well, but that unfortunately closed down as well. Too bad. It's where my mom and dad got me a Jiminy Cricket plush when I was a little boy... loved that plush back then. I would think so as well, plus many of the rides are a big selling point for a lot of people, too. Same with the Cinderella castle, and I think you can get souvenirs as well.
Gosh, Mario + Rabbids is another game I should play more of, or should I say, games. Kingdom Battle, and Sparks of Hope. I've not played XCOM, but I have played a few turn-based strategy games myself, namely Fire Emblem, Advance Wars, and Shining Force.
Been wanting to ask you. Do the Trolls movies all have a connected story, or can they be watched in any order? Looks like everyone's been liking Trolls Band Together, I was thinking of checking out that movie sometime. Also my mom's literally the same way, she also likes watching crime dramas, which also aren't my cup of tea. She does like watching Disney movies with me, though.
Yeah. Once the batteries are dead in the little tree, it won't be lit again... unless there's a power outage. No really, I had a power outage one night during the middle of winter, and it lit up my room. So it ended up being useful.
I still remember your Mario Party profile picture. Which Peach picture was it if you don't mind me asking. I had Amy, then I just switched to Poppy from Trolls because she's one of my favorite characters. Modern Amy was a code you received by signing up with the Sonic Superstars e-mail newsletter. I signed up for it, although I do get Sega e-mails regularly anyway.
I can't remember the last time I played Sonic Unleashed. I think it was a few years back and haven't played it since. I do remember playing it after I moved, but that's about it. Yeah that is pretty late. I saw Adventures of Sonic everyday before school on TV. It's cool you got to rent them, I think I did that with Sonic X. I couldn't check it out, so I rented the few DVDs my local Hollywood Video had. Now I'm reminded, Roku has a 24/7 Sonic channel that shows the classic cartoons (after typing this, they even have a Super Mario Bros channel broadcasting the old Super Mario cartoons, lol).
Same boat with Disney store. Even though I buy my shirts online, I still liked checking their shirt selection. I had one with Dory from Finding Nemo on it at one point. Their plushies were usually high quality too.
Yeah, playing both Jagged Alliance and XCOM has me wanting to play Mario + Rabbids. Both games are fun, I like Jagged Alliance a little more. With both XCOM and Jagged Alliance, I don't play in iron man (permadeath) mode, so I usually causally play, reload my save to try again. Funny since I do have that special release of the original Fire Emblem on my Switch, never was a fan of permadeath.
You can enjoy each Trolls movie on their own, they will have little things that tie together. For example, there's an event at the start of the first Trolls movie touched upon in Trolls Band Together, that gives one of the characters a bit of backstory. You can still watch them as they are, they're great movies on their own. Yeah, I don't care for those kind of shows and would rather watch cartoons or anime over them.
@Sunsy i will watch trolls at some point it’s just I’ve been very busy can’t even watch hour long tv episodes unless it’s on the weekend. I’m just happy you loved the movie so much
In a pretty crappy year for sequels in the box office trolls not being a financial disaster says something about the movies appeal. I can’t see dreamworks not making trolls 4 after that. And while I can’t comment on trolls v wish from my understanding every movie was better than wish last year
Don’t get me wrong I love dark stuff I mean my profile pic is from the boys. But it’s also telling you to watch cartoons so it balances out. I think it’s dumb and irrational to write off things made for kids as lesser than adults entertainment. As long as it was written intelligently it’s good in my book. In fact I’d say lots of kids media especially the stuff with the darkest topics is actually impressive to me as the writers have to be clever with metaphores and implicationsin order to make it palatable to a general audience
And I’d also say i love stuff for adults that has a bit of fun thrown in I mean this is from the most serious and sad adult superhero show of all time
Alrighty, whenever you can get to it.
Indeed, I'm happy it did well. Was a bit worried, given the second one was digital only, I was hoping plenty would go out and see it, instead of having a "Trolls 2 was digital, I'll watch it that way." The fact that the theater applauded the movie during the early access showing was a good sign. Honestly, it's something I don't think I'm ever going to get to experience again. That really was a special afternoon for all those Trolls fans in the theater.
Agreed. I think kids stuff can be great because of all the kind of stuff that can go in it. When it does get dark, it can be surprising too. Still surprised how dark some moments in Sofia the First were, and that was made for really young kids. Anytime the kingdom of Enchancia or Sofia's family was under threat, had me scratching my head and thinking "this is a kids' show?" It feels good when kids entertainment doesn't dumb down things for the audience they're going for. Even Trolls has its dark moments too.
Nice, ngl, I was getting into the song.

@Eel I mean, everyone has an art style, even me, and I'm pretty bad at art.
And yeah, it's relly good. I think it's cool all your pfps are what you draw.
Giiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii Murin!

@OctolingKing13 This is the chit-chat thread. Unless you mean the deleted posts, then deleted posts actually interfere with notifications. For example, I went to reply to @MarioLover92, and when I click notifications, it took me to the latest page, not to his post to respond to which it's suppose to do.

So here’s the basic story of how Luca, my persona, became the hero of “World of Light”:
The game’s opening starts as normal, except Kirby gets vaporized seconds before he originally disappeared. Should have been a total downer ending, right? Except one of the stars that his Warp Star leaves behind suddenly disappears, and after Galeem destroys the universe and remakes it in its own image, a portal leading to another world suddenly opens up, and out tumbles a young man with three fox tails and a pair of fox ears, a half-kitsune.
Luca, the half-kitsune, crashes to the ground, and after picking himself up and realizing he’s not at home, he notices a figure approaching, which looks similar to Mario, only with green and brown palettes instead of the usual red and blue as well as constantly shifting between metal and back. The figure, or rather the puppet, becomes hostile to Luca, and Luca attempts to fight back with his own fire magic…only for nothing to happen. Realizing how screwed he is, Luca immediately flees and manages to find a place to hide as the puppet hunts him down. Seeing a sword embedded in the ground, Luca decides he’s got no other option but to adapt, even with a weapon he has no knowledge of using in the past.
Upon grabbing the sword’s hilt, a spirit suddenly flies into him; the spirit, known as Leon Kennedy, quickly grants him knowledge of swordfighting. Now with renewed confidence, as well as a change of clothes to better suit his newfound skills, Luca battles and defeats the puppet, releasing a spirit of Smoky Progg. Leon explains the situation to Luca, and that Galeem had destroyed everything; the fighters were captured and used to create puppets, while the other characters lost their bodies and remained as spirits, which were then used to fuel the puppets. With each spirit freed, Luca is given slight advantages in later battles.
After defeating the other two puppets, Luca finds the real Mario; defeating him breaks Galeem’s brainwashing over Mario, and Mario agrees to join Luca on the quest to free the rest of the spirits and fighters and set things right.
