@IceDomino No it's not. I do that as well. I've done that for my Christmas drawing, where I would use multiple reference pictures of the Merry Mountain train. I had my Mario and Peach figures with me while I drew them, too. I used a reference photo for one of my drawing projects when I was in a drawing class, as well. So, it's totally ok to use reference pictures while you're drawing.

AKA MarioVillager92. Ask if you want to be Switch friends with me, but I want to get to know you first. Thanks! ❤️
@MarioLover92 I just hope you guys don't mind that I prefer drawing my kitsune OCs and nobody else. I just love Japanese inspired characters, even if they're 6 tails missing (because I can't draw and color 9 tails without looking stupid).
I got a few little perfume sample tubes, and decided to try them out by spraying them on some plush dolls… as I’m sure everyone does, of course.
The girly scent was super nice, it made the plushie smell like white flowers and honey. The two masculine scents on the other hand… One plushie smells like perfumed armpit, and the other one like sun-dried chillies. What the heck.
Now I’m afraid of actually testing them on myself.
Hope everyone's doing well... I'm gonna be the birthday boy next week!
@IceDomino No worries... that is fine. You're free to draw whatever you want at the end of the day. I have my favorite things/characters to draw as well.
Hope you're enjoying both games. I already have my Christmas stuff taken down, just waiting for the first nice day (not too cold) to take down the outside lights (they're not being turned on anymore). I had an appointment the other day, some still have their lights up, still nice to see even if it's early January. I went for my monthly pizza trip first week of January and the pizzeria was still decorated. I do, the only downside I can think of is I ran into some bugs during my playthrough, otherwise, it's exactly what I wanted from a Trolls game. I like booting it up just to explore around.
Nice, I started out playing as Amy, and played a level as Sonic. I still need to try Tails and Knuckles. I do want to figure out how to change skins, since I did get the modern Amy skin for the game. I still need to redeem the code in my case for the Lego Eggman skin. I didn't do it right away because Christmas and servers usually get swamped on Christmas.
Yeah, he always prefered the classic games. In fact when my nephew had a Wii, he even borrowed my copy of Sonic Mega Collection. Cool, which Unleashed did you play? I'm guessing the Wii one since it's on Nintendo, I know there's a different version on Xbox/PS3. I loved Colors and finally played Generations when I got my new PC years ago, before that it was the 3DS one. That's fine, and thanks. I also enjoyed the Sonic Boom cartoon, even if I was late to it and saw the show after the DVD releases.
Nice, I think the local Disney Store (now no longer at my local mall) is the closest to a Disney place I've been to too. Sounds nice, I had a similar experience years ago. Wore my Anna and Elsa shirt and bought Anna and Elsa plushies from them. Last time I was there was in 2019, I got a Vanelope Von Schweetz plush, from the movie Wreck-It Ralph. Oh ok, I never really saw Disney as a thrill park outside a few rides. I just always saw it as a place to meet your favorite characters, then again, I'm looking at Universal the same way... I see those meetable Trolls, Universal. Super Nintendo World would be another place to visit.
Yup, that 3D Isometric style both games had. I think if I played the game nowadays, I think I would know what to do since I understand RPGs better. Sounds like a good plan with RPGs.
Nice, I still want to play it more. Now if I can pull myself away from playing Trolls, X-COM, and Jagged Alliance, I could play more Sonic. Just fun exploring that Trolls world, and playing some DOS classics.
Thank you, I've been liking them. Recently, I've been playing Splatoon 3 for the Splatfest, and then Mario Kart 8 Deluxe right afterward. I should get back to Super Mario RPG now that the Splatfest is over. I have my Christmas stuff taken down too. Actually, I turned on my Mickey Mouse train set one last time (until next December, anyway) while we were removing the decorations... one last hurrah, if you will. She's been going slower and slower overtime, and eventually went to a halt. The batteries seemed to have ran their course, so I removed them and the train's back in storage. I agree, it's still nice to see the lights up in places, even in January. Ah gotcha, glad to hear you enjoyed the Trolls game regardless.
I've tried all the characters myself. I like playing as Tails, his flying ability is super useful. Sonic's drop dash is fun to use, as well. Amy's your favorite Sonic character, right? I remember you had her as your profile picture long ago. That's cool, is that Amy's outfit from the Sonic Adventure games? I just got the game from the eShop when it was on sale, just the regular edition.
I actually tried both versions of Sonic Unleashed. The Wii version, and the PS3 version. I don't remember much of the Wii version, admittedly, played more of the PS3 version as I kept hearing that the 360/PS3 version is the "better" one. The daytime levels were all right, but I don't like how they make you do quick time events in certain parts of levels. They're kind of frustrating and they break the flow of those kind of levels. Didn't like the nighttime levels too much, I remember they dragged on for so long, and they also have those quick time events which, again, I didn't like. I do like the music, at least... except for that dang werehog battle theme that plays every time enemies show up. lol
Yeah anytime, while I'm not as huge into Sonic as I used to be (I still wanna try out Sonic Frontiers though), I certainly respect that the series still has its fans. I did hear the Sonic Boom cartoon is pretty good, I've not watched it though so I can't comment on that.
That's cool, we've both at least been to some sort of Disney place. That's awesome, especially with those Anna and Elsa plushies you got! That is another big thing about Disney's parks, meeting folks like Mickey Mouse and the princesses, as well as wearing the Mickey ears. Would love to go to both the Disney and Nintendo parks myself... I'd visit Universal just for Nintendo. I'm that kind of guy. lol
I'm kind of like that, when I start playing Mario Kart online, I can really get into it. That admittedly makes it hard for me to focus on other games, plus I'd have in my Switch's cartridge slot, too.
@MarioLover92 Good luck in the Splatfest! I hope above all else that it's fun.
Makes sense when it comes to drawing objects, especially since everyone sees the world differently. Photos are best if you're trying to recreate a 2D character 1:1 IMO. Though I'm one of those crazy people who likes Still Life. A pretty solid process for your Merry Mountain drawing, moreso since you have Mario and Peach figures lol. The randomization was pretty fun, though I had to make a few tweaks in testing since it didn't always behave like I wanted.
To be fair, I'm pretty biased towards many Disney villain songs, so my expectations were high. I like a decent amount of non-villain Disney songs too, but I do think they intentionally make many of the villain ones more catchy. Poor, Unfortunate Souls is a great one too. I'm afraid to watch the recent live action release of the Little Mermaid partially due to that....
Super Paper Mario had one of the best plots out of a Mario-related game IMO. So much of it was great, and I played it long after release! I found a used copy at GameStop and fell in love. I quite like some of the different worlds and WTF moments, especially the surprise Peach dating sim due to how corny it was. XD I'll spare you my Color Splash impressions for now since I've went into detail before. The Origami King's combat ranged from sort of creative to plain frustrating. I hated the timers. While some of the boss fights were fun, a couple others were painful. The Phoenix one almost made me rage quit. I didn't realize getting inked in MK8D affected traction, likely because you can't see half the screen anyway. XD
Thank you, it's been a fun Splatfest. My team didn't win, but I still did pretty decent overall. At least when it comes to my own gameplay.
My drawing professor is a huge fan of still life as well... as evidenced by my drawing projects! I do like still life too, does that make us crazy as well? lol. My Mario and Peach figures have adjustable arms, which does make it easier to draw the poses I like.
I think so too, plus the villains do make pretty memorable characters in Disney movies in general honestly, lol. I like Gaston's song in Beauty and the Beast as well... he's got quite a huge ego in that movie and his song reflects that in spades!
Ah yeah, Super Paper Mario's story had a ton going on, and is quite dark for a Mario game too. I wonder if there will be a remake/remaster of it sometime after TTYD comes out for Switch? Yeah, I hated TOK's timers as well... I don't like being rushed and I certainly don't do speedruns at all, lol. I like going at my own pace. Dang, I don't remember the phoenix fight, I only played through TOK once and that was during the year it came out.

More people should get on the NintendoLife discord server. NL did such a big announcement for it and a bunch of people signed up but most rarely go there.
Splatoon 1 was a tremendous event. I had hopes for 2 and 3 but its just... more of the same. I once said that we deserve better than copypastes of the original, but got flamed, bashed and bullied and Im still wary of this community.
The point still stands though. A game whose motto is "stay fresh" became stagnant
