When you dump the ROM yourself, assuming you aren’t distributing it, you are just making a copy of your game. But downloading it the ROM online is somebody else’s copy.

Think of it like this. You wouldn’t walk into a store, grab a copy of the game, and then walk out of the store. Why is it any different with a digital copy? It is certainly easier to do online, but it’s still wrong.

That’s true, and I do think downloading a ROM is fine if the game isn’t readily accessible anymore. But with TOTK that is far from the case.

@blindsquarel Eh, I don't care. This is one of those really boring arguments you see a lot, I haven't done it and most likely never will but I have no problem with people doing it as long as they buy a copy. I mean if you buy it and want to emulate it, does it really matter who's copy it is? You would just be cutting the dumping of the ROM out of your schedule. I do oppose pirating new games though especially if they aren't out yet.

You can’t play the game early if you go with the legal route. ( aside from the few that actually got their hands on the game.)

@blindsquarel oh so that's what it's about. I'd be concerned about bricking my console, I heard it can happen if you get your hands on software that isn't out yet. Also, the global release is in a couple of microseconds, how impatient can people be

Yesterday morning I saw a road accident while I was riding my bike to my school.
I saw with my eyes a dead body on the street, road accident victim with a fabric on his face (indicate the victim has died) and police barricade.
It was so frightening to see a dead people by accident very close in front of you. 😨
