Your Name was, as I did say to @Ralizah a few days ago, an absolute masterclass in visuals, storytelling and music. It's legitimately one of the best-looking films I've ever seen and has a pretty decent soundtrack. I'm not too versed in his films but I've also seen Garden of Words and a recurring theme is awkward but incredibly intense romance. That movie's on Netflix I believe but is only 45 mins or so...

@Tyranexx Watched Suzume last week. Fantastic film. While I don't expect anything he makes will ever live up to Your Name (a top five film overall for me), it's still the best piece of animation I've seen in years. Funny, action-packed, deeply-emotional, and paints a fantastic portrait of ordinary human life across modern Japan.

@TheJGG If you liked the look of Garden of Words, which was visually distinct from a lot of Shinkai's work in certain respects, I recommend checking out Weathering With You. Same art director, Hiroshi Takiguchi, but unlike that picture, this production clearly had a way larger budget. While it's my least favorite of his 'disaster trilogy' (Your Name, Weathering, and Suzume), it might be the prettiest animated film ever made.

@NeonPizza If letting go of your retro collection is so difficult for you, I imagine there's a part of you that'll regret it if you go through with it. A lot of people sell their old consoles and then kick themselves for it down the road.

Although I've largely given up on retro collecting now that prices are as ridiculous as they are. Especially in the case of Playstation games (my primary retro collection), since I can just rip my physical copies and emulate those after selling them. The only reason I still have most of my collection is because listing games online and shipping them out is a pain.

I think I got some light of hope for my XBOX 360 games. 😊
After I stopped playing my XBOX 360 games due to my RGH machine couldn't play my original DDR UNIVERSE 3 but can be played on Original NTSC/J XBOX 360 machine, it gave me some hope to play all my XBOX 360 games.
And after some discussions and deliberation with game shop owner who have knowledge about XBOX 360 machine, I decided will pick XBOX 360 NTSC/J Original machine at weekend on this week.
Because I will play with NTSC/J machine, I quickly rebuild my XBOX 360 games that I will pick to will be playable on NTSC/J machine even I have to pick combination of USA or Asia or Japan version games as long they are detected on NTSC/J machine.
I cannot wait to able playing my DDR UNIVERSE 3, the long waited XBOX 360 game to play. 😃
And for my RGH machine, after some investigation about region compatibility from USA only XBOX 360 games, I only accumulated 7 USA only games with half of them hopefully will be detected on RGH machine.

On my way to completing crash bandicoot 1 100% (nsane trilogy) and am asking for advice on obtaining the coloured gems(obtain them withot dying). The jumping being different is making it so difficult.

@ComfyAko Yup, I know that their names are based off of plants. Also, 3 languages, that's a lot. I speak English and some small amounts of broken Japanese. I wanna be fleunt one day. I also wanna learn Arabic, Russian, and German, but I think my brain can't handle all of that.

@TeaCatherine I hate glasses I wanna break them in half. I keep complaining to Seef about them and he just finds it funny, and he wears glasses too and he keeps saying I'll get used to it.

I think I might actually be going insane. I’m considering migrating to the bird app so I can see current events and news updates, not much else, since I don’t watch television. The site doesn’t let you anonymously search for specific things anymore, so an account might be necessary. I also gotta support my favourite sports team, of course! I trust myself to not be a giant toolbox on that site like most people are. There’s no chance I get Tweeter Blue though, I’ve got money to spend on better things like 70 dollar Zelda games. Knowing me, I’ll forget I even have an account on there because I tend to forget login info easily.

At least users on there chronically make fun of people who pay for the site, that’s always entertaining, watching people bully one another 🫥

@EllaTheKawaiiNeko To be honest, English is extremely easy and so common that everybody speaks it naturally even if it's not their first language. Also, that's a lot of languages, big plans I see. German should be easy enough, I could practice some too. German vtubers make this sound so cute. The other ones require a lot of time spent on alphabet alone. I don't want to discourage you, of course, but just a headsup

@Link-Hero Yeah yeah, I'm gonna wear the glasses. My sight isn't that bad without them, I wear them because everything's a bit more crystal clear with them, y'know? Like, I can read from across the room, but the glasses make it a bit less fuzzy. But really, my nose hurts where the glasses sit, my eyes hurt, colors are less vibrant, and more. I hate these glasses I can't lay on my side and play on my 3ds like that without taking the glasses off. I'm 13, and I know my sight is gonna get worse over time, but gosh dang it I hate these glasses. And they press against my head when I'm using a VR headset, so I take 'em off when I play on my brother's headset. And just, like, these glasses suck I wanna take 'em off so bad. And I have really long, thick hair and I have to take my glasses off just to brush it. I'm not used to wearing glasses and I keep going to rub my eyes and accidentally punching and smudging my glasses. Wearing my headphones with them is kinda hard. It hurts a bit to look at bright lights. And they make me look terrifying. And earlier, I was just tryna drink coffee and they fogged up. When I do dishes, the water spalshes up into them. Just, oh my god, I wanna snap them in half so bad. Only thing keeping me sane right now is my 3ds, and even then, with the glasses, I can't play in 3d mode or it'll give me a headache. These have caused me so much pain just so I can see a little bit farther away. Too bad our insurance don't cover contact lenses.
@ComfyAko Yeah, I know it's a lot of languages. I wanna learn Japanese to go to Japan one day. I wanna learn German and Russian because it's cool. And I wanna learn Arabic because it's Seef's main language and it'd be cool. Seef keeps telling me Arabic is really hard, and it probably is, cause when the peron who's been speaking it their entire life says its hard, that means it's really hard. Seef also speaks a bit of German whic I think is cool. God, Seef is so smart, he was bilingual at age 7, speaking both Arabic and English and he's learning even more languages. I want his big brain. My brain is very small and I can't do basic math. I used to speak a bit a Spanish, but I forgot it all. And I don't think I'll ever pick it up again. I only learned some of it because I'm half Mexican, and as a little kid I thought I, like, needed to learn Spanish or something. But now I realize I have no use for Spanish. Then again, I don't have a use for Arabic, Russian, or German either. Meh, it'll still be fun.
