You are still young, still haven't experienced with a lot of new things and you blamed Math as the worst subject because of your negative personal reception.
Math is useful subject with most of them being used in real job.

To respect your country.
To have better knowledge of your country.
To develop your patriotism of your country.
In my country Indonesia, I studied about Indonesia history from before year 1000, during colonization, during the independence day moment, the chaos in May 1998, etc.
So having knowledge about what happened to your country before it will develop your respect with the place you are living on. And you can share your history knowledge to younger generations.
