@TeaCatherine I'm particularly happy with Sola To Robo, Okamiden and Final Fantasy Tactics Advance 2 Grimoire of the Rift. I recently bought Elite Beat Agents for a reasonable price, too

@EaglyTheKawaiiShika I grew up watching a lot of the classic Scooby Doo cartoons, and What's New Scooby Doo? ran when I was a kid; that one was pretty enjoyable too. Some of the movies are pretty decent if you're into the older animation style. I highly recommend Scooby Doo on Zombie Island and the Witch's Ghost movies. Particularly the latter because the excellent Tim Curry lends his voice to the cast. I admit I haven't seen Mystery Incorporated since that started airing shortly after I moved out from my parents' place, but I've heard it's good.
@Sunsy I linked my Nintendo account to all the eshops ages ago; I figured things would be easier that way. I also intentionally use eShop gift cards and not a credit card. I don't want to save the information for the latter anywhere, plus it's a pain to key in the card information all the time.
Totally up to you when you grab MPT, but don't wait too long! March 23rd will be here before we know it.
@ComfyAko Okay, I've heard of most of those except Sola To Robo. @EaglyTheKawaiiShika Oh, that was forced in? Yeah, I suppose that makes sense, it did seem kind of ill fitting with some other parts.

@TeaCatherine Sola To Robo is a really pretty and solid game, it's weird that it was not a success. But they made a sequel 10 years later (in 2021), Fuga Melodies of steel, it's also really good

@TeaCatherine The genre is driving like a madman in a skyscraper-sized tank and obliterating nazi dogs in turn based battles, so... turn based strategy, I guess? With team management

@TeaCatherine with that comment I feel like your pfp Eunie is judging me and my brilliant description. Having passed the game though, I really can't think of any genre it would neatly slot into. War drama, tactical turn based combat, rich storyline.

@ComfyAko Well, it sounds sort of interesting. Also, I didn't realise until just now when I looked at it on CEX's website that you meant literal dogs not as in the insult.

I've been looking at a local retro game store of mine's website (not saying what it's called since I don't want any of you snatching it away from me 😛) and holy hell some of the prices here are wild:
Sonic Rush for €28 (not the greatest deal but certainly better than what I've seen on eBay)
The original Scribblenauts for €8 (I've heard it's certainly got quirks that were ironed out in later entries but that price is far too good to pass up)
Mario Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story for €30 (MCSCUSE ME)
Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga and Lego Batman for €10 and €15 respectively (loved the console versions of these and have always been itching to play the portable equivalents)
Spongebob: Atlantis Squarepantis for €6 (you may laugh but I've heard this is actually one of the best licensed games on the system and for only €6? That's a risk I'm willing to take)
And probably the most absurd one of all:
Each DS Professor Layton game for FIFTEEN EURO
Now there's no denying there's the typical resell stinkers as well (Pokemon HGSS for €250 NO THANK YOU) but even still....these prices are insane. If/when I get this DS fixed up to be basically good as new, you better BELIEVE I'm taking a trip around the country to pick some of these up.

That literally made my day. I didn't even notice that it could be interpreted that way. I'm still chuckling, thank you

@Fizza Eh, over here CEX sells the Professor Layton games for between £5 (€5.70) and £8 (€9.12) each.
Edit: My bad, I didn't realise CEX Ireland would have such different pricing.
