I was interested in a Steam Deck at one point, but then I decided just to get a normal pc, because then I'd be able to upgrade it. As of now, I still haven't got the pc, but I will, if I can.

@Zuljaras I have a 3ds, so I won't be getting a 3ds emultaor when I get a Steam Deck. @TeaCatherine Yeah, I'm pretty close to her. @Scooby-Doo My PC is a piece of trash. There's a pretty funny story for it though. So, my brother and his friend Sam was building it for me, and my brother didn't have any RAM for it, and my PC gets really hot, so Sam would give him some RAM if my PC was named Space Heater cause it gets really hot. So one day, I was transfering a file from my phone to my PC and the phone said Space Heater, and I didn't know that my PC was named Space Heater.

@TeaCatherine Mine takes, like, 5 minutes to switch on and no it does not randomly switch off. Looks like you need a new power supply! Though, don't go buying a random one off of Amazon or Ebay, you don't wanna explode after all. I recommend you go look at tech people on YouTube to get good imformation on power supplies. Linus Tech Tips could give you a few points for buying power supplies.

@EllaTheKawaiiNeko Our rubbish computer would win the Rubbish Computer Games. It overheats if you so much as switch it on, switches off randomly, is slower than a morbidly obese tortoise, and many other things besides. The only thing you could reliably use it for in less than an hour is, I dunno, short-circuit the house.

@TeaCatherine Actually if it overheats, the reason it shuts off isn't your power supply, it's your cooling. Try putting some new thermal paste on your CPU and getting some new fans. Also, clean your PC right now, dust buildup could be the cause of your problems too.

@EllaTheKawaiiNeko Yeah, but even without that problem it's still pretty bad, it seems like it's just not worth fixing. Also, I've got to go play Super Smash Bros with my sisters (and brother) now.
Edit: I read your message wrong. We basically just use it for putting things on our MP3 players anyway.
@TeaCatherine Every chip in electronics that has fans has a thermal paste/compound.
If it is slow, it might be because if it is overheating it starts to throttle (operating at lower power levels to fight overheating).
Also shutting down because of heat is actually good because it is supposed to do that otherwise the chip will burn and that is a game over.
Or you just need to reinstall the OS. I did not do that for 8 years and my laptop was loading for 20 MINUTES (literally 20 minutes!!!) every time I restart/power it on. After Windows reinstallation it loads for 30 seconds.
@EaglyTheKawaiiShika Yeah, I feel bad for the old pirate, although now that I've got the class, I'm just going on a unique monster murder spree. I finished watching Harley Quinn by the way.
